Duration: 6 to 12 Months Contract Description:
Candidates must have proven experience as lead project manager responsible for large scale complex mainframe infrastructure hardware and software implementations and workload restructuring. Must have at least 6 years of experience with directly managing projects with mainframe engineering, operations and client application support teams. Project management leadership experience must include initiatives that involve understanding and coordinating changes required for mainframe infrastructure upgrades and software maintenance is required including z/OS, z/VM, z/Linux. Must have strong communication skills with leading diverse project teams. Responsibilities should involve strong administrative oversight for end-to-end project planning and delivery, budget forecasting and tracking, critical path assessment, issues/risk management, status reporting and detailed project plans. MS-Project
BS Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline or equivalent experience
PMP Preferred Financial or Insurance industry experience is a plus
In short – a Strong PM with a solid understanding/experience of the IBM Mainframe platform. They will not be doing any other technical tasks. They will be planning and managing maintenance, upgrades and change management initiatives in enterprise data centers locally and nationwide.
