The Senior Business Analyst will act as the intermediary between the business community and the Informatics Business Operations Department. The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with business unit leaders and cross-functional team members to project manage small to large scale strategic related initiatives to ensure that the systems being developed are aligned with the requirements of the business community. The Senior Business Analyst is required to understand the needs, goals and expectations of the users and communicate these to the technical staff. The Senior Business Analyst is also responsible for identifying and developing business requirements, as well as system test plans.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Create detailed functional requirements for applications for the Human Resources department
* Manage projects to successful On Time/On Scope/On Budget delivery
* Manage and prioritize multiple tasks to completion
* Provide clear and concise communication, both written and verbal, to business and technical communities
* Identify and champion business improvement opportunities
* Proactively identify and report on risks, issues and dependencies for the project
* Effectively interpret strategic goals and objectives of the business community and IT
* Demonstrate initiative, good judgment, attention to detail and problem solving ability
* Support team efforts to ensure that project objectives are met
* Create detailed test plans consistent with the functional requirements
* Execute test scripts, record and track results in detailed defect reports
* Work closely with technologists to troubleshoot defects and, when appropriate, create workarounds and/or revise functional specifications.

ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will work on all activities listed above. In addition, the candidate should expect to be able to handle the following:

* Work directly with all levels of staff

Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or equivalent combination of work and education experience.
Working Knowledge of Mercury Quality Center and Quick Test Pro, Provision
Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Project, Visio and PowerPoint

Experience:
5+ years as a Systems/Business Analyst
Experience with Human Resources Business Applications including Talent Management
Firm understanding of the System Design Life Cycle and previous technical experience
An understanding of computer systems validation a plus.
The candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
The ideal candidate should possess 1+ years of combined pharmaceutical and business experience and an understanding of current technology capabilities

Licensure/Credentials:
PMI certification a plus

I.    POSITION SUMMARY:
Project Manager
This position will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of applications and systems for Business Operations Informatics which supports the Human Resource, Finance, Legal  business functions. 
The individual will be responsible for estimating project scope, budget, resources, work plans and schedules to support project proposal / business case development and for leading projects through the entire systems development lifecycle including tracking and monitoring project progress, planning testing and deployment (roll out) activities, and ensuring that the systems are properly implemented in accordance with GxP validation and internal company standards.
The scope of projects can vary from the analysis, design, build and delivery of large business applications that span multiple business functional areas and informatics groups, to the upgrade or maintenance of existing production business applications. 
Solutions include but are not limited to implementation of commercially available off the shelf software, enterprise systems integrations using enterprise service bus and business process management tools, and custom development.
II.   PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Estimate project scope, budget, schedule, resources, and deliverables in support of project proposals
'Lead the implementation of large and complex information technology projects and solutions Ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget with high quality and customer satisfaction
Manage virtual teams consisting of employees, consultants, and off shore resources to deliver projects
Lead the business user groups, the project team, and other IT groups during project execution
Obtain and evaluate proposals from suppliers of software and services to support project delivery
Actively manage project deliverables, monitor project milestones, and manage project risks and issues
Deliver progress status reports to management and update portfolio management tools
Manage multiple projects and assignments

Provide performance feedback on staff assigned to projects
IV.   POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
BS or advanced degree in an information technology related field
Experience:
10+ years of relevant IT experience
5+ years of management experience
Proven domain expertise within project management and IT delivery
Proven leader in large and complex system deployments and testing
Management experience in virtual organizations including off shore development and contract resources
"Experience with implementing off the shelf, system integration, and custom development solutions
"Experience with creating business cases and estimating project cost and effort
"Experience within the pharmaceuticals or life sciences industry, and computer systems validation desired Licensure/Credentials:
PMP Certification Desired
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Firm understanding of structured system life cycles and methodologies (e.g. RUP, Agile, etc)

Knowledge of MS Project
