interview that you want?  The meeting is Saturday,

Networking Leading to Interviews
Sixty to eighty percent of people get their job via networking. 
Yet, for some networking is very challenging.  Others do it, somewhat
reluctantly and not very effectively. This presentation will help the audience
improve on their networking skills.  Do you know what conditions should
one create that lend themselves to bonding and sharing? The endgame is to get
referrals. We will share a simple script which you can start using
immediately.  You will learn five easy steps to follow in order to get high-level
contacts. By understanding the divergent vantage points of the candidate
vis-à-vis the hiring manager you can better prepare for this demanding
interaction called interview.
 
This Month's Topic:"Networking Leading to Interviews".   How do
you leverage your network to get that interview that you want?  
About the Speaker:  Alex Freund had a long career working for major Fortune 500 companies
in the capacity of Corporate Director.  Initially, after graduating from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration he worked in hotels and
hospitals.   Alex has managed some 35 different departments also
known as Facilities Administration or Support Services.
 
Alex has extensive
experience with interviewing people.  He has also practical training in
career coaching.  Consequently, he formed LandingExpert – Career Coaching services.  He is prominent
in a number of networking groups and has helped many job seekers with their
career searches, providing them with tools, information, marketing material,
and one-on-one preparation for the interview.  Via his websitewww.landingexpert.com he offers people
in transition and otherwise a comprehensive and updated list of job-search
networking groups.  This list is being viewed consistently by over
3000 people per month.  He also writes a blog on   www.landingexpert.posterous.com
 
Alex has lived
on three continents and speaks five languages.  Currently he resides in
the Princeton NJ area with his wife and they have two grown up children.
 
 
Networking begins at 7:30 am, meeting starts promptly at 8:00 am.

Seconds about yourself, who you are, what you are looking for, target companies
(3-4), how we can help you, how you can help others.
11:00 until  you choose to leave
 -  Open Networking, follow up with people you are interested in
meeting following their elevator pitch, exchange business cards, peruse the
library, arrange follow up meetings, etc.
 1 - Make sure you come with the
30 second elevator pitch - honed - including your targeted companies, your
value proposition, etc.

My client, a software and services provider for the kosher food industry, is looking to hire a System Engineer to provide training, support and documentation for their customers pertaining to the client's proprietary software.  
 
Responsibilities
 
            The System Engineer will be responsible for:
 
·        Solving customer problems
·        Investigating and validating issues
·        Providing feedback for feature requests and required improvements to the software
·        Training customers with refresher courses as well as introducing new features
·        Updating and maintaining documentation on the system
 
Qualifications
 
            To be considered candidates must have:
 
·        A strong aptitude for and ability to teach and train others
·        Strong communication abilities, both written and oral
·        Good attention to detail
·        An ability to understand the breadth and depth of a very large and complex system
·        The ability to retrieve and analyze data, including from an SQL server, related to user accounts and activities
·        The ability to smartly prioritize among competing priorities, and provide relevant and well analyzed feature request feedback from users of the system
 
            Additionally, candidates need to have a personal understanding of, and appreciation for, Jewish dietary laws.  Knowledge of Hebrew is preferred but not required.
 
            The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000, with an additional $5,000 contribution toward the employee's health insurance.
