Summary/Responsibilities:
The Asset Manager reports to management of the firm and performs a range of
duties involving deal underwriting/credit analyst, relationship management
and marketing Prepare/present detailed credit analysis both
internally/external to investors as part of the transaction approval process
of distressed loan acquisition opportunities The analysis shall focus on the
following criteria of an investment prospect: historical financial
performance; projected financial performance; collateral value (on a
liquidation or going concern basis); modeling the forecasted investment
performance to the firm and its investors Oversee the due diligence process
on individual distressed loan acquisitions Preparation of credit approval
submissions with emphasis on rigorous financial analysis / modeling /
industry / competitor review Identify/asses key transaction risks Act as the
primary/secondary asset manager on individual distressed loan acquisitions
Maintain regular communication with the borrower Periodic site
visits/inspections of the collateral underlying such investment requiring
some travel Regular maintenance of an Asset Summary Report on each borrower
under the asset managers primary or secondary responsibility Boarding of
new investment opportunities Supervising/guiding the exit of the borrower to
a resolution Coordinate with legal counsel where needed, relating to
litigation, drafting loan documentation, and/or maintaining collateral
Establish/maintain regular contact with direct/indirect sources of
distressed loan acquisition opportunities Attend periodic marketing events
Present transactions to an investment review committee Follow-up on
conditions to close, prepare term sheets or letters of intent and engage
legal counsel

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree required
3+ years experience as an underwriter/credit analyst/portfolio
3+ manager/originator/trader required
Extensive background with commercial loans (commercial real estate and/or
commercial and industrial loans) Experience restructuring transactions
preferred (DIPs/Exit Facilities, etc.) Completion of a formal credit
training program desired Demonstrated analytical/quantitative/modeling
skills Outstanding organizational/time management skills Ability to function
independently/collaboratively with the management team and investors Must
possess adequate capital market awareness (terms of industry trends and
current transaction/structuring activity) Ability to lead a deal through the
underwriting process
