Position Responsibilities – Summary
As member of the new Client Facing Technologies Team, this individual will
be responsible for supporting the firm's emerging Mobile Platform. This role
requires an individual that is a strong communicator and is well versed in
conventional mobile hardware and software technologies. This is an excellent
opportunity for someone motivated, and passionate about the domain, to join
the group at a point at which they will be able to have a direct and
personal impact on the next generation of Mobile offerings. In addition,
this individual will have the opportunity to participate in the deployment
and support of these tools with both our end user and client communities.
Responsibilities:
· Provide expert support for the firm's Mobile offerings. This
includes support of iOS devices, native iOS Applications, and mobile web
applications.
· Coordinate and support the use of mobile technologies at firm
events and conferences, directly assisting users and event staff
· Assist with the design, development, testing, and configuration of
mobile applications as the needs of the company expand
· Actively participate in architecture, design, implementation, and
deployment efforts
· Participate in iteration planning, release planning, and
prioritization of work across related project tracks
· Work with business team members, project managers, and systems
analysts to review and qualify business requirements, functional
specifications, use-cases, and test plans.
· Design, prototype and author code for medium/high complexity
software components and applications
· Ensure adherence to established code-quality standards within the
Client Reporting development and QA teams, such as Continuous Integration,
Code Reviews, and all required release documentation.
· Work across teams such as middleware, database, and architecture
to coordinate and facilitate production releases
· Author architecture, technical design, and support documentation
Required Skills and Competencies:
· 2+ years experience supporting, testing, and/or developing mobile
technologies
· 2+ years relevant Mobile Web Application development experience
· Proven ability to work across multiple steams simultaneously
· Proven track record of working with project managers, systems
analysts, and infrastructure teams to complete and deliver projects
· Experience with various software development methodologies, such
as RUP or Agile
· Willing to work in an energetic, fast-paced, and team-oriented
environment
· Must be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal
supervision
· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
· Financial industry knowledge is a big plus
· Native iOS development experience is a strong plus
Keys to this Position:
1. 1. We are seeking a software engineer to develop mobile web
applications, primarily for the iPad.
2. Technical: HTML5, CSS3 and Advanced JavaScript are required. Exposure
to iOS is helpful including Objective-C and Coco. Java is a plus.
3. This individual will build applications to support meetings and events
at the firm. The applications will most often sit on the iPad and will help
participants prepare for meetings as well as provide collateral
documentation.
