Duration: 9 months contract

Job Description:

This Role can be located in Maine or NJ

Technical Project Manager III
Require technical project manager familiar with infrastructure refresh efforts involving Wintel and Unix based server upgrades. Candidate should be familiar with OS, database, and middleware technologies as well as interfacing components, and have experience managing upgrade/refresh projects involving mission critical systems and applications.

This role requires interaction, coordination, planning, and prioritization of tasks and requirements for multiple projects within a highly silo'd organization with rigorous controls, change management, and gating processes.

Only candidates with a proven track record of success in delivering critical projects in a fast paced environment, under tight timelines, and excelling in pressure driven efforts should apply.

Key accountabilities:
* Engage application SME's and prioritize server/application refresh activities with technology support resources for multiple application systems used by the corresponding business unit
* Define software and hardware requirements for application/server upgrades
* Work with Solution architect, App SME, and/or App PM to update/refine existing system blueprints, System Requirements, or other application specific documentation
* Update/create required project SDLC/PMLC documentation
* Engage Infrastructure Project Manager, and Infrastructure Architect as sub-contractors to complete the actual implementation effort for desired plan
* Create, refine, collate all financials and track effort to budget
* Engage and plan testing activities with test management and app support teams
* Manage and track tasks and activities for all support and sub contract resources
* Develop overall run book and implementation plan across all systems/applications being upgraded
* Manage change management activities required for all implementation events through all testing phases (sit,bat,pat,prod, dr)
* Manage all gating activities, seeking appropriate approvals and sign-offs from governing bodies to implement upgrades
* Create, manage, and track overall project schedule across application portfolio
* Maintain weekly status dashboard of portfolio
* Work with Program Leadership team to set overall implementation and execution plans across all work streams
* Mitigate risks and issues, raise awareness on conflicts, track project health and seek program leadership assistance to resolve conflicts impacting deliverables

Desired Technical Skills:
- 6-8 years of Infrastructure PM experience
- PMP
- ITIL certification
- Strong technical knowledge and experience as a technical PM
- Enterprise level technology experience
- Strong Communication

The successful candidate will be a technical project manager familiar with end to end delivery of application infrastructure environments and having the ability to work with a large cast of specialized resources within a matrix'd and highly controlled environment to deliver all refresh efforts on time and within budget. This is a portfolio level position with hands on accountabilities for completing all project deliverables.
