 We are currently seeking a Technical Project Lead position will be the liaison between IT development and testing, Supply Chain and the vendor.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

This is what give the tasks their complexity. A defined process and the transactional nature of the tasks requires a low level of creativity from this role.
A high level of judgment and reasoning required for success in this role; the position works across organization at multiple levels and involves continuing and frequent exposure to change and the ability to adapt to changing conditions in a seamless manner.
This role utilizes multiple skills , though not at high level in all and involves tasks that involve planning requirement as to work method.
Stakeholders include senior management, SBUs throughout the company, vendors and clients.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in managing IT-related projects.
Must have strong Application Software Development background, though no coding is required for this position
Must have strong Project Management skills
Must be able to troubleshoot and isolate Production problems so that it can be assigned to the correct group.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the responsibilities outlined
Strong Vendor Management and Project Management skills
Ability to understand business needs and impact to development/production schedules

POSITION: Senior Software Engineer - Front End, Back End and Mobile

LOCATION: Company is headquartered in downtown San Francisco (Montgomery
Street station). Client prefers candidates who already live within
commuting distance, but would consider candidates who are flexible to
relocate. They have brand new office space that is very cool in downtown
San Fran on Market Street at Montgomery.

COMPENSATION: Client is willing and able to put together the right package
for the right candidate. Base salary will be between $120,000 and $150,000
depending upon experience. Compensation will include an annual base

PERSONAL SUMMARY: Position will report directly to the Director of
Engineering. He earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from MIT.
Before joining this company in January 2012, he worked for a company where
he started in Java, then began developing in Ruby in 2008. Before that
company, he was a professional poker player. He is a vegetarian, very
active outdoors enjoying hiking and anything on the mountains or on the
water. He is pretty hands off and doesn't like to look over anyone's
shoulder. He is good at mentoring when they need it. He has an
expectation of people to be detail oriented. If there is work to be done,
then think about the problem and raise the issue or flag it--even if you
can't solve it. In terms of meetings, they are pretty low key. Will have
a status meeting, but not doing intensive planning. Expect the person to
thrive in an environment where they can just make educated assumptions.
Have small team right now, so they can just find a hole, make an assumption
and drive it forward. Ego is a big No for him, especially in the rails
community where there can be a lot of big egos with people very set in
their ways. But, we prefer to have the maturity that there is more than
one way to do things. Keep an open mind.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have recent and significant Front End and Back End web
application development experience (HTML/JS/CSS/Ruby on Rails).
- Must have recent and significant experience with relational databases
such as MySQL.
- Must have recent and significant mobile development experience (mobile
web or native iOS/Android).
- Must have the interest and desire to work with cross-functional
product teams.
- Prefer someone with recent and significant front end experience using
a modern java script library such as jQuery.
- Prefer someone with recent and significant experience with PhoneGap.
- Prefer candidates who have experience with Amazon AWS (EC2/S3/RDS).
- Strongly prefer candidates with at least an undergraduate degree in
Computer Science, Engineering, Math, etc. from a well-respected school.
However, experience and technical aptitude are most important.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit is preferred. Need someone who enjoys
the entrepreneurial atmosphere of a small company, but has been through the
experience of scaling up an enterprise to significant organization size and
revenues. Experience working in a dynamic (i.e. "startup") environment is
preferred.
