For Immediate Release

Peter Weddle to Enlighten the Mondays @ 7 Group on Career Activism, the Alternative to Old-Fashioned Job Search Techniques that No Longer Work

February 24, 2013 -- The Mondays @ 7 Group will sponsor a presentation, March 4, 2013, by Peter Weddle, CEO of Weddle's LLC, a research, publishing, consulting and training company specializing in careers and employment. American employers are no longer competing with companies that have cheaper labor; they're competing with those that have smarter workers. This new reality changes the definition of what it means to be "qualified" in today's economy. Mr. Weddle will present his program of outside-the-box principles and practices that are specifically designed for effective job search and career success in the 21st century.

Peter has been described by The Washington Post as "a man filled with ingenious ideas." He is the author or editor of over two dozen books about employment and a former columnist for The Wall Street Journal and National Business Employment Weekly. He is a frequent guest on national television and radio shows, including CBS This Morning, The Today Show, Bloomberg Financial News and Fox Business News.

An Airborne Ranger, Peter Weddle is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He attended Oxford University and holds advanced degrees from the Bread Loaf School of English at Middlebury College and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

The public is invited to attend this presentation. For further information, contact Ed Thomas at 203-981-4648 or via email at ejjthomasjr@gmail.com.

The meeting will take place at the Westport United Methodist Church, 49 Weston Road in Westport (Exit 42 off the Merritt Parkway.) The agenda is posted as follows:

1. 7:00 - 7:30 am - Open networking with coffee and bagels

2. 7:30 - 8:00 am - Group business and introduction of new members

3. 8:00 - 9:00 am - Peter Weddle's Presentation - "Career Activism, the Alternative to Old-
Fashioned Job Search Techniques"

4. 9:00 - 9:30 am - Open networking

Founded in the Spring of 2009, the Mondays @ 7 Group is one of the premier job networking organizations in Fairfield County. The group's membership exceeds 300 business professionals, actively involved in a job search. Member titles span the gamut from C-Level management, accounting/finance, marketing/sales, creative services, human resources, information technology, education, engineering, and supply chain, to administrative/other areas of endeavor.
