Position Summary:

The Help Desk Lead person will be a hands-on manager of a technical support
team responsible for leading a small but very strong team of individuals for
companywide desktop, mobile device, and application support including
Windows operating systems and software such as trading systems, and other
applications. This is an internal customer-facing role and requires
excellent prioritization, responsiveness, and customer service, along with
excellent verbal communication skills. Relative trade floor and market data
experience in a financial services organization is required.

Environment: Windows XP, Microsoft Office Pro. 2003 and 2007 connecting with
Exchange 2007, Blackberry Enterprise Server 5, LANDesk, Citrix/XenApp, Help
Desk Ticketing, Market Data Applications (Bloomberg, Reuters Xtra, etc),
Trading Applications (RediPlus, FX All), along with various back office,
legal, and accounting applications.

Detailed Responsibilities:

· Provide timely, efficient, and courteous service to our internal
customers. Senior level support of the Windows desktop environment; imaging,
application packaging, patch roll-out, & change management support for both
the main and disaster recovery offices as well as employees on the road and
at home via hands-on and remote support. Acts as a top tier escalation
resource for critical and high touch service issues

· Daily oversight of the IT Help Desk to provide quality customer
service and technical support to users

· Conducts daily status (morning) meetings with Help Desk Staff.
Reports to management on open issues such as service complaints, open
tickets, high-touch items, and escalations. Provides recommendations on how
to improve the service delivery of the Desktop Support Team

· Providing guidance and direction for scheduling and prioritization
of projects and tasks for employees, monitoring workflow and ensuring Help
Desk coverage during and outside business hours

· Accurately communicating information to Help Desk staff. Ensures
Help Desk representation when coordinating support for work tasks/projects
within the company

· Documenting all reported problems in a work order data base and
follows up with assigned personnel to ensure timely resolution of
problems/work order

· Performing quarterly/annual review of all Help Desk procedures and
related documentation

· Work closely with Operations and Windows Teams on current and new
Engineering initiatives

· Process incoming service requests; assign, triage, track,
escalate, & resolve support events using the company ticketing system and
other provided tools, to ensure timely resolution of issues producing a high
degree of satisfaction from your customers

· Facilitate and deliver using the standardization of the company's
desktop PCs, laptops, and PDAs to ensure the most efficient and stable
equipment and software for the firm

· Develop and improve processes and procedures to ensure the
uniformed delivery and repeatability of desktop services. Maintain accurate
documentation by implementing a knowledgebase for all relevant support
related processes and procedures

· Provide input in regards to automation tools that help to improve
the efficiency and quality of the Desktop Support and Help Desk operations

· Facilitates the process of employee on-boarding, transfers, and
terminations by managing the delivery of or repurposing appropriate company
equipment, software, and access control required for any new user or change
requests. Follows established procedures to ensure and appropriate audit
trail of this activity.

· On a weekly/ monthly/ quarterly basis, provide an accurate
inventory of PC, laptop, and PDA software and hardware in the DR site in a
summary report to AVP of Windows Infrastructure highlighting any significant
changes and/or potential issues

· On a weekly basis, create change control requests in JIRA for any
significant desktop hardware or software changes, additions, or upgrades
that are planned in the coming two weeks

· Ensures the purchase of PC, laptop, and mobile device hardware and
software. Maintains appropriate inventory levels to ensure timely delivery
of this inventory without significant delay. Ensures that user equipment
purchases are within 10% of the approved budget unless otherwise approved by
Sr. management. Properly discards of all obsolete PC, laptop, and mobile
device equipment (at least on a semi-annual basis) which may require moving
equipment in excess of 30 lbs

· Manage the continual upgrade of internal customers' PCs according
to the following lifecycles unless otherwise requested:

o Trader and Application Developers' PCs (on a 3-year budget cycle)

o All others' PCs (on a 4-year budget cycle)

o Ad hoc projects/duties as needed

Required Skills and Competencies:

· BS in Computer Science or related field highly desirable

· Minimum 3 years of Team Lead experience within Help Desk – trade
floor is a huge plus

· Minimum 5 years of relevant IT desktop support experience,
including trading floor support experience

· Significant experience with Windows XP, Microsoft Office Pro. 2003
and 2007 connecting with Exchange 2007, Blackberry Enterprise Server 5,
LANDesk, Citrix/XenApp, Help Desk Ticketing systems, Market Data
Applications (Bloomberg, Reuters Xtra, etc), Trading Applications (RediPlus,
Autobahn, FX All)

· Experience troubleshooting Excel spreadsheets being used as a
front end to complex trading systems, including macros and add-ins

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· High touch trade floor support

· Strong ethical foundation and a high degree of professionalism

· Experience supporting PCs, & PDA hardware & software required

· Understanding of financial markets and instruments

· Experience with Windows servers considered a plus

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to
play a leadership role on a collaborative team and contribute to a wide
variety of initiatives to support the Derivative Operations team. This role
provides technical leadership to the IT team supporting the operational
functions relating to OTC derivatives (swaps and options), cleared swaps,
and exchange-traded derivatives (futures and options). All current
applications are homegrown and support the business team's third party

As member of Investment Administration & Corporate Applications, this
individual will be responsible to lead the Derivatives Operations
development team to design, develop, and implement projects and enhancements
to a variety of applications ranging from Derivatives Trade Communication,
to OTC Collateral Processing, to Futures Margining.

This role should be focused 50% on leadership and management and 50% on
hands-on programming and solution design. The Lead Software Engineer will
manage 2 full-time employees onshore as well as a team of 10 development and
QA consultants located both onshore and offshore.

Responsibilities:

· Lead the development team activities including prioritizing
requests, designing solutions, and supervising the development efforts

· Participate in architecture, design, implementation, deployment,
and support

· Work with business team, project managers, and systems analysts to
review and qualify business requirements, functional specifications,
use-cases, and test plans

· Design, prototype and code new software components and
applications based on functional specifications.

· Coordinate with analyst teams to execute test plans and provide
support during user acceptance testing.

· Modify and enhance existing systems to incorporate new
functionality and to optimize them for performance, and implement new

Required Skills and Competencies:

· 8+ years of proven analysis and technical design, development, and
architecture experience

· Java Web-Framework experience - Struts, SPRING or similar

· Experience in relational database technologies with strong SQL
skills - Oracle & PL/SQL Required.
