Position Responsibilities - Summary

The firm's Legal and Compliance Operational Support unit is seeking a
systems analyst to join the team supporting their Legal, Regulatory, and,
Investment Compliance IT functions.

The team provides a high level of automation and tools to ensure the Firm
remains in compliance with all client-mandated, regulatory, investment,
trading, personnel, and, other restrictions.

Qualified applicants must possess a strong knowledge of technology,
investment, and financial services. Candidates must also possess excellent
communication skills, be self-motivated, willing to work in an energetic,
fun, fast pasted and team-oriented group. The ability to manage multiple
priorities is required. This position requires some partial early, late and
weekend shift coverage.

Responsibilities:

· Phone support; answering Investment, Trading, and, Regulatory
Compliance systems questions in an expeditious manner
· Researching reported problems. Generating story level
enhancements or bug defects via existing technical tools and process
methods.
· Support of technology located on Compliance desks
· Deal with users from with differing backgrounds, roles,
responsibilities, and, tolerances in a calm, professional, and, supportive
manner
· Helping other business groups with Compliance related questions
and problems
· Operational readiness and rollout of new versions of applications
· Test new technology and vendor interfaces for applications
· Some project management responsibilities
· Contribute to the development of internal and external
documentation and processes
· Strong sense of ownership to see issues or tasks from
start-to-finish
· Show initiative in attempting to tackle problems creatively and
self-sufficiently
· Appropriately escalate or seek collaboration when needed

Required Skills and Competencies:

· BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
· 5+ years experience supporting or working with Financial Systems
and/or Compliance Applications
· Strong SQL skills
· Familiarity with Pre-trade and compliance systems
· Experience with LatentZero Sentinel would be very desirable
(front-end and back-end)
· Client-oriented
· Knowledge of Relational Database Systems
· Proven ability to learn and tie business concepts to application
workflows and back-end database and table designs
· Coding and executing SQL scripts
· Experience with Oracle PL/SQL Stored Procedures
· Reading System and event Log Files
· Searching through application code to find source of issues
· Handling application and schedule failures

Keys to this Position:

1. We are looking for a candidate with experience supporting Compliance
Applications, specifically Latent Zero Sentinel. Sentinel is a Fidessa
product. If the candidate does not have Sentinel we will consider
experience with other Compliance Vendor tools such as Charles River or
Advent.
2. Technical: The candidate will need to know SQL to query the database.
3. Very strong communication and client interfacing skills are required.

Position Responsibilities - Summary

The Contracts Manager will provide expertise in the drafting/development,
negotiation and management of complex technology related contracts. These
contracts include application licensing, development, maintenance and
support, IT consulting services, as well as contracts related to
infrastructure support (telecom, hardware purchases).

In addition, responsibilities will include implementing, issuing and
analyzing formal RFPs. This position will primarily support the Information
Technology (IT) division. The Contracts Manager will work closely with
Project Managers, Systems Analysts and Team Leaders.

Responsibilities:

· Read, edit, analyze risk, negotiate, execute and manage technology
contracts, including those with significant complexity and risk or potential
liability to the firm.

· Manage multiple contracts simultaneously and provide ongoing
service level delivery

· Communicate on a continuous basis with internal clients by
providing project status and analysis throughout contract development and
negotiations

· Reduce expenditure levels through contract negotiations

· Coordinate, develop and manage the RFP/RFI process and facilitate
the analysis, evaluation of proposals and recommendations by the RFP team

· Manage assigned contracts during and after negotiations to ensure
compliance by the contracting parties

· Work with vendors and internal clients to identify and research
problems as well as provide guidance relevant to contractual obligations and
developing corrective action plans to resolve

· Improve quality, service, and vendor accountability, and help
develop alternate sourcing strategies

· Liaise with multiple departments such as risk management and
finance to ensure adherence to broader financial and risk requirements

· Ability to work independently, and to escalate and elevate
potential risks as appropriate.

· Strategic partnering with internal clients on goals, upcoming
projects, and vendor management

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Five+ years' experience in technology (IT) related contract
negotiations

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contract negotiations

· Demonstrated understanding of the economic and risk impact of
terms and conditions

· Strong problem solving techniques, ability to clearly communicate
issues, status of negotiations and ideas to internal clients

· Strong negotiation and communication skills are fundamental
requirements of the role

· A bachelor's degree is required; advanced academic credentials
(such as an MBA or JD) would be viewed favorably

· Detailed knowledge of business and contract law as they relate to
IT contract issues would be considered highly desirable in this role

· Ability to review and redline contracts with minimal to no legal
oversight

· A deep knowledge of the entire procurement process

· Vendor management experience

Keys to this Position:

1. We are seeking an IT Contracts Manager that is well versed with
Software, Hardware and Telecom Contracts (i.e. Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco,
Avaya, etc.).

2. The candidate should have the ability to review and redline contracts
with minimal to no legal oversight. This person will understand 'the why'
behind the contracts. We do not need a JD in this role. We have two in the
group.

3. Strong Vendor management skills are required.

4. Soft skills: We need a proactive thinker that has the aptitude to learn
and has great customer service skills. The customers are the IT
organization that have complex needs. The candidate will need to be able to
handle a high volume of contracts.
