Duties:
In
this role you will work with bank customers and prospective customers to obtain
and process underwriting information for the purpose of evaluating credit opportunities.
Report to the Chief Lending Officer.

Source loan information from customers or their representatives

Conduct site visits and meet with borrowers

Draft credit memos per bank's criteria to reflect a detailed understanding of
each credit and its inherent strengths and weaknesses

Ensure work product is completed on a timely basis to support the bank's

Most
transactions are originated by Business Development Officers who bring in and
create the initial agreement. This underwriting unit completes the due
diligence, analysis and structuring of the transactions through credit
write-ups and closing. This position is transaction oriented, primarily for new
business. Once booked deals are transferred to senior management.
 
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years
experiencein commercial and industrial underwriting, experience underwriting business loans, including
those involving owner-occupied real estate, term loans and lines of credit
(familiarity with SBA is an additional plus). Strong
understanding of financial statements and cash flow analysis.

The Loan Officer is responsible, under
the direct supervision of the Team Leader, for the administration of all
assigned account relationships and for the development of new business for the
bank.
·         Maintain and service assigned portfolios and appropriately
cross sell other Bank products.
·         Maintain close customer contact to ensure continued satisfaction,
and to follow or anticipate additional financing needs.
