Making the First Call

These are the calls that you hate to make. Whether it is calling a
networking contact or reaching out to a hiring manager the candidate does
not know-it is those first few seconds of awkwardness that you wish you
could avoid. Yet the truth remains that this is one of the best ways to get
your foot in the door and move to the top of the resume pile. Using proven
techniques from an experienced sales coach, Melanie will discuss ways you
can quickly establish rapport and how you can move past the gatekeeper to
make your case with the hiring manager.

Prior to starting RED inc, Melanie Szlucha was a hiring manager and

marketer for over 15 years. Combining presentation and communication skills

with her experience in conducting job interviews, she provides job

interviewing, resume writing, job search coaching and career presentation

services. In her "spare time," Melanie performs improvisational comedy
herself. Visit Melanie at <http://www.redinc.biz%20%20>
http://www.redinc.biz or call at 203-866-1606.

first-come, first-served basis and must fill in a registration form at the
front desk as well as present a business card. We have a very limited number
of available seats, remember to register early.
