Overview

Our client is seeking a Help Desk Analyst/Technician who will be the first
point of contact for incoming technical help requests from end users
through in-person, telephone and e-mail. Responsibilities include receiving,
prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving or escalating end user
help requests, applying diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
This person may also be involved in special IT projects as well.

Environment includes PCs (primarily HP Elite Book and Lenovo); Windows and
MAC operating systems; Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2012; Incident
Management and Request help desk ticket system; Lotus Notes; MS Office;
Symantec Virus Protect; Remote control tools; IBM Power series supporting
ERP applications; JDE (World, OneWorld, E1) and Websphere Commerce; Cognos
BI.

This is a fulltime employee position in White Plains, NY area.

Skills and Experience:

* College diploma or university degree in the field of computer
science and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience

* Knowledge of basic computer hardware especially laptops, desktops
and printers.

* Experience with desktop operating systems, including MS Windows 7 &
Mac OS X
* Experience with Windows servers utilizing Windows Server 2003/ 2008
* Extensive application support experience with Office 2007/2010,
Lotus Notes Working knowledge of diagnostic utilities, including Remote
system controls and Symantec Endpoint,
* Proven technical problem solving skills based upon prior experience

* Prior help desk and/or customer service experience desired
* Certifications in Technology Hardware, Microsoft, Lotus Notes,
and/or Helpdesk desired
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory desired.
* Knowledge of ServiceDesk software desired

Soft Skills:

* Excellent communication skills and ability to create concise, clear
documentation
* Strong multi-tasker with ability to organize multiple work streams
and to handle demands from multiple customers and properly prioritize
requests
* Ability to work under pressure and maintain a focus on customer
service
* Attention to detail
* Proven technical problem solving skills based upon prior experience

Overview

Our client is seeking a a Technical Support Professional to manage their
workstation (Windows 7) patching process utilizing LANDesk. This individual
would need to learn the environment, build in segmentation, and test to
ensure patches don't break existing systems, all utilizing LANDesk.

The current environment is complex with no segmentation (e.g. vendor
supported PCs, mixed in with in-house managed devices), and with some
dependencies on specific versions of products (e.g. Java and IE).

This is a 6-month contract position in Danbury, CT
