December Chapter Meeting

December 10, 2009 from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Crowne Plaza - 690 Route 46E - Fairfield, NJ

Please join us for our 64th annual holiday party designed to celebrate what was, what is, and what will be.

2009 has been a great year for our learning community even during hard times, and we are planning to build on our chapter's successes in 2010.
Comedy and Drama
Kenny "The Monk" Moore, stand-up comic and bestselling author, will host our holiday meeting using a Variety Show format. Kenny Moore is co-author of The CEO and the Monk: One Company's Journey to Profit and Purpose. Kenny sees the party bringing out the best in us through "tomfoolery and frivolous executive behavior." See our board members ...lead the way by showcasing their own special talents. There are a few spots open for any chapter member(s) who would like to share their talents (contact Ken Giglio at kgiglio@mindful-leaders.com).
Dinner and Networking
Bring a colleague, spouse, or significant other! Make new friends and grow your network, which in turn can lead to robust opportunities for your business and your career in 2010.
Raffles and Surprises
Receive a free raffle ticket and have the opportunity to purchase more to win a seat at an upcoming Scotwork Advanced Negotiation Skills class, valued at $3,000. In addition, try your luck with our 50/50 holiday raffle.
Bring a Wrapped Gift for a Child
In this season of giving, we ask that you consider supporting the Children's Aid and Family Services Inc. with wrapped gifts for children in the following categories: Fun Toiletries; Activities and Games; Books; Clothes; Gift Cards! Thank you!
NNJ-ASTD Member Awards
Help us show our appreciation for exceptional service through our NNJ-ASTD 2009 Member Awards.
OUR HOST:
Kenny Moore (www.kennythemonk.com) is co-author of The CEO and the Monk, rated as one of the top ten best selling business books on Amazon.com.
Prior to coming to corporate life, Moore spent 15 years in a monastic community as a Catholic priest. Oddly enough, both jobs have proven to be quite similar--except the Incentive Plans vary greatly. Kenny left the monastery because he wanted to get married.  Now that he's married and has two teenagers, he would like to go back.
Kenny has recently expanded his work to include stand-up comedy. This is driven largely by the sneaking suspicion that when the Divine returns, She will find a more receptive audience in bars and comedy clubs than in our Houses of Worship.
Kenny is a watercolor artist, poet and photographer.  He is married to the "fair and beautiful" Cynthia.  Together, they are fighting a losing battle of maintaining their mental stability while raising 2 teenage boys.
