My client in Bronx, NY has an immediate contract need for a Senior Security Architect. If you are interested in learning more about this position please send me your resume. I have attached a copy of the job description for you to review.
Title: Sr. Security Architect
Responsibilities:
1. Review Network and Security architecture and provide guidance for deployment of new technologies and integration with existing technologies
2. Recommend best practices to the client on all IT initiatives from a security perspective
3. Co-ordinate incident response across multiple teams while providing technical assistance including but not limited to worm/virus outbreaks.
4. Security monitoring, analyzing security alerts (primarily from IDS, IPS, Firewall, Windows, *NIX, Web Proxy, AntiVirus, NetQoS etc) using a SIM tool and escalating them to local support personnel.
5. Troubleshooting and deployment of Antivirus and IPS infrastructure;
6. Perform vulnerability assessments/penetration testing and assist with remediation efforts.
7. Perform IT security and compliance (HIPAA) audits
8. Review and Manage Windows security updates
9. Perform forensic analysis for data/system breaches
10. Capture and analyze packets using ethereal, tcpdump or any other sniffer
11. Provide operational guidance to the existing team
12. Act as Subject Matter Expert for security
Requirements:
1. 8 year experience in IT with at least 4 years working as a senior security consultant
2. Strong knowledge in TCP/IP protocol stack and networking;
3. Strong knowledge of HIPAA controls
4. Experience with Arcsight (Big Plus)
5. Experience McAfee I and M series IPS and McAfee ePO
6. Experience with vulnerability scanners
7. Experience with Firewalls (ASA preferred)
8. Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and endpoint protection technologies (endpoint encryption, HIPS)
9. Experience with securing wired and wireless infrastructure both at core and perimeter level
10. Experience with various security tools, such as Metasploit, NMap, Retina, Nessus, fport etc
11. Administrative experience with RedHat, Solaris, and Windows 2000 Server OS;
12. Working knowledge of scripting/programming (C++, Perl etc)
13. Team player with good interpersonal skills and customer facing skills
14. CISSP
15. CCIE Security a big plus
16. CISA, CCSP and SANS Security Certifications a plus
