Please register before noon today, we have a near sell out and just a few
positions remain open. So, we may not have enough parking to allow all
walk-ins to attend.

Westchester Networking Organization (WNO)

The Westchester Networking Organization invites you to the August 15th, 2011
monthly meeting for professional and social networking. We will be at the
Free Croton Library for one more month only. The location is 171 Cleveland
Drive, Croton-On-Hudson, NY 10502. The following is planned:

* Marty Latman will present, "Working the Room"

* The WNO Career Doctor is in the house. Independent career coach
Linsey Levine will be providing complimentary 10-minute, one-on-one advisory
sessions.

* A door prize will be handed out, courtesy of Frank Dunne of
FranNet

* Light refreshments, courtesy of Chu, Phillips & Associates,
Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.

Working the Room

When you attend networking or business meetings are you successful in
promoting yourself? Are you unsure of the best ways to do this or would you
like to improve your technique? Do you leave the meeting feeling that you
really accomplished something? If you would like to improve your networking
skills and are really get to "working the room", you should attend our
meeting on August 15th.

Our speaker for the event is Marty Latman. Called by some people as the Best
Networker they know, Marty will present the basis tools you need to use to
land the position you want. Marty is the chairman of the Bergen Chapter of
Financial Executive Network Group (FENG), which he created in March 2002
with 29 members. Membership within this chapter has now grown to over 2800
members. Since its inception, FENG-Bergen Chapter has successfully helped
more than 550 of its members find gainful employment. He is also the
chairman of NJ Strategic Executive Networking Group (NJSENG), a FEI member,
and a member of over 20 other career networking groups.

He has spoken at Financial Executive International (FEI), Financial Planning
Association of NJ (FPANJ), Media Communication Association - International
(MCA-I), Career networking Group (CNG) and others.

Project /Practice Management

Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
Manages onsite day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
Meets, manages and reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
Prepares for client engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
Minimizes exposure and risk on project. Manages risk mitigation.
Visually reviews project documents to ensure that are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Project Accounting

Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
Manages project budget to actual. Schedules weekly on site project reviews for each project and provides communication budget/actual to team
Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate reporting, and monitors receivables for project.
Follows up with face to face scheduled meetings with clients regarding project charges.
Business Development

Identifies business development and "add-on" opportunities/functionality as they relate to a specific project.
Leads proposal efforts including completing project scoping, project charter, change control, risk analysis, issues reporting as well as project reporting.
Effectively conveys project status in both written and face-to-face verbal business development discussions
Communication

Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.
Holds regular status meetings with project team.
Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news.
Effectively communicates timely / relevant project information to superiors.
Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
