Job Title: Business Analyst

Global Tax – Business Analyst (Senior) – Tax Transformation Program
Implementation of a multi-year Tax Transformation Program, transforming key business processes as well as building a technology framework to support the Global Tax organization. The purpose of the job is to gather, analyze and document business requirements for projects within the initiative. Serves as liaison between the user groups and the development teams, ensuring the best technical solutions are developed for the business needs. This requires business requirements documentation, design sessions, testing, systems implementation and production support, all of which equates to the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
· Lead requirements gathering sessions with business unit, line-of-business and operations SMEs (subject matter experts) to gather, analyze and document business requirements for application and business process development projects.
· Serve in a lead capacity requirements gathering efforts for complex subject matter areas involving multiple business system analysts and development team members. Perform gap/alignment analysis to ensure that there are no functionality gaps.
· Analyzes workflows and, where appropriate, recommends adjustments to enhance technical staff performance and management control.
· As liaison, participate in the day-to-day relationship, addressing the interests of both the end-user and the manager. Lead and thereby assist in the management of the specification-writing process.
· Interface with component business units and systems developers and assure consistency of application design and development interdepartmentally, and within the division where appropriate.
· Provide all materials to the testing and training teams to ensure adherence to the timelines for UAT objective creation, implementation of the testing, and creation and approval of all training material needed. Review and sign-off on all applicable system curriculum. Educate systems technical staff as to business and assist, as needed, in preparing and executing implementation plans.
· Participate in various levels of testing as needed (BA verification, QC, and Acceptance Tests) for deliverables.
· After project timelines have been identified, ensure dates are met throughout the project and immediately communicate to manager any critical issues that will modify timelines.
· Set priorities in order to manage workload of multiple concurrent projects.
· Organize and coordinate tasks with involved teams to complete a project on time, within budget and scope.

Required Skills:
· Analytical – ability to gather information from business representatives and help them determine what they are looking for, as well as determining optimal processes for achieving objectives. Ability to ask the appropriate probing questions in order to help the user best articulate the issues. – Advanced
· Organization - ability to track multiple outstanding tasks and ensure that procedures are followed. - Proficient
· Verbal Communication - must be able to work easily with senior managers who have high expectations that analysis will be on time and high quality output. - Advanced
· Written Communication - must be able to provide high quality documentation of analysis and business requirements. - Advanced
· Software - Needs a good knowledge of MS Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Must be comfortable learning new software products. Will need to be able to understand connection between software applications and the data and reports that are being requested. General knowledge of software, hardware, their roles and an ability to distinguish between the two. - Advanced
· Investigatory and interpersonal skills. – Advanced
· Presentation skills. – Proficient
· Tax - Knowledge of corporate tax. – Preferred but not necessary
