Job Description:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and completing
all aspects of complex software development projects in accordance with
client requirements and organizational guidelines. The Senior Project
Manager works independently or by motivating and leading a three to five
person project team to ensure all systems are developed on time, within
budget, and beyond client expectations. Activities of the Senior Project
Manager include: driving the initiation and planning stages of the project
lifecycle; driving execution to the strategic plan and managing deviations;
supporting the implementation of assigned projects and verifying customer
satisfaction; providing consistent and coordinated communication throughout
the project lifecycle; leading and managing a team of professionals;
contributing to the development of standards and processes for project
management; contributing subject matter expertise to ensure the success of
projects and organizational objectives; maintaining performance standards
while working remotely
Specific responsibilities and requirements follow.

Additional Job Info:

Current project is a module re-engineer of the core product (Security
Module). The project is in flight using Agile. The current PM has not had
any Agile experience prior to this company, so this candidate will take the
lead on the project and also coach the PM on managing Agile/SCRUM
methodologies on the projects. Our client works in 4 week sprints for
development.



Top Skills :

Project management of IT projects 5 To 7 years. PMP certification is
preferred, but the necessity is for someone with Agile/SCRUM experience. 5
Years process improvement of IT projects along the SDLC. Managing budget
scope and Tools & Resources (developers, BAs, QA, Vendors)

Work Environment (culture, deadline intensive, flexible hours, dress code) :

Agile and Waterfall methodologies. This is a smaller Company so there are a
lot of hats to be worn. They will be working with BAs, QAs AND Developers.

Our client is looking to re-vamp their core product so that it is in line
with current technologies. This includes multi-browser capability, mobile
capability and overall a more modern User Interface.

Who is the Internal/External Customer? (i.e., end-user or end-client) :

Our client's loyal customers are corporations that have large legal teams.
The corporations buy their products. They also can branch out with their new
Product for customers who could utilize other business intelligence data.
This can be outside of the legal world.

Impact to the Internal/External Customer? (i.e., how does the end-users job
become easier?) :

Our client wants to use it to build out eye appealing for their lawyer
customers. The application will create a colorful eye catching profile page
where you can click on an attorney picture and bring up their details,
experience and schedule. External customers can also use the new product to
capture market analytical data of current, future and past customers for new
business.

Project Stage/Lifecycle Info :



Technical Environment :

.NET, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Silverlight, Telerik. This is a matrixed
environment and the right Project Manager will work as a Product
Manager/Project Manager.

Non-technical Skills (i.e., communication, problem solving, etc.):

Need To be an excellent communicator, especially in technical terms. This
team is very upbeat.

Primary Purpose: The incumbent will be part of a team whose main responsibility is over-seeing the corporation's Storage Area Network and Server Virtualization infrastructure. Responsibilities include the design, maintenance and full ownership of system components. Storage infrastructure includes HPXP24000, HP EVA, HP MSA and NetApp storage arrays, Brocade SAN switches andfiber cabling. The various tools used to monitor and maintain theinfrastructure include Quest vFoglight, Brocade SAN Health, HP Command View, XP Performance Advisor, VMWare vCenter, HP SIM, NetApp SANScreen and NetApp OnCommand suite of tools, among various other utilities. Other areas of responsibility include Windows server administration, HP SIM
administration, assisting with Backup policy troubleshooting and administration and occasionally assisting the Active Directory, and Messaging team. Incumbent will participate in an on-call rotation with other team members to support all system related issues on a 24x7 basis.

·      Responsible for the developing solutions, enforcing standards, and managing capacity for an enterprise level environment.
