Technical Specialist/Desktop Engineer Location: 80-85K Contact: Tony Chiocco Pinnacle Consulting Group Responsibilities: Engineer in support of Application Integration and Lab initiative. This candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Application Integration and Lab initiatives including: Requirements gathering, relationship management, packaging process, documentation, application testing, library, and test lab infrastructure. Will be required to manage outsource relationship for application packaging. Will work with business units and peers to ensure that the Application Integration needs of the business are met. Responsible for maintaining the Core applications associated with the Desktop. Developing and maintaining the global core catalog. Must have a Strong working knowledge of the MS Operating System ranging from Windows XP through Windows 7. This role will include developing the Global architecture for applications essential to the core and Operating System level. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Global Distributed Technologies Lab infrastructure. Creating a check in check out process for lab machines needed during UAT and Engineering efforts. A working knowledge of Virtual machine technologies is a must. The candidate will be responsible for tracking lab assets and making sure the lab is available at all times. Should have at least 5 years' experience in Application Packaging, Integration and Desktop Engineering. VB Script, Powershell a must Winbatch a plus. Completed a Bachelor's degree program. Skills Strong working knowledge of application packaging methodologies. Strong working knowledge of the MS Operating System ranging from Windows XP through Windows 7. Strong working knowledge of WinTel based PC hardware. Working knowledge of Virtual machine technologies. Good presentation skills. Good intrapersonal skills. Good organizational skills. Working knowledge of MS Systems Center Configuration Manager, SMS and OSD. Strong knowledge of application virtualization. Strong knowledge of Wise Packaging Studio. Strong knowledge of VB Script, Powershell and other scripting utilities.
