Title: Director, Project Management Office
Location: Stamford, CT

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a Director to lead the Project Management Office and work with business and IT teams to establish and maintain PMO core competencies throughout the IT organization, leverage PMO standards, policies and 'best practices' into selected projects, and standardize workflow solutions. The successful candidate will oversee project management practices, organize the governance processes, and help launch the High Level Design phase of ERP projects to replace legacy applications. The position will also involve Systems Integration project management, including change and problem management, budget management, and quality management. Moving forward, the Director will continue to be actively engaged in the advancement and leverage of all attendant processes and workflow solutions to align PMO actions to the Company's business objectives and strategies. This position reports jointly to the Director of the Global Project Management Office (located outside US) and to the CIO in Stamford

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Four-year college degree in Computer Science, Business, or related fields. Experience and/or other training will be considered in lieu of a degree. An advance degree is a decided plus
5-10 years of experience managing a PMO for large scale, complex, business and technology projects
Over 10 years of experience working in IT on business or technology capacities
5 plus years in a management capacity
5 plus years of hands-on experience with workflow software such as Sharepoint or Agile
In-depth experience in vendor management
Proven experience in global company settings and in the implementation of ERP systems
Extensive experience operating with business teams at the highest levels, managing and effecting governance processes at E and C levels
Project Management Institute certifications (or equivalent) as it relates to such PMO practices, esp. Risk Management, Budget Management and Vendor Management
Solid written and oral communications skills and have established presentation skills

Extensive experience in global consumer goods settings is preferred
Excellent communications (written and oral), change management, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to operate in a matrix, global environment
Excellent organization and time management, vendor management, and project management skills
Solid quantitative / analytical skills and good business judgment
