The 3 items below are ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENTS – non-negotiable
1. The ability and willingness to handle monthly A/R, A/P, and other tactical work in a hands-on way (this will be the first in-house finance hire for Yieldex)
2. Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, as the management team will need guidance on scenarios related to growth plans (new products, headcount, etc.) and to present/defend findings with conviction: "no shrinking violets." Spreadsheet expertise is not enough, you must also have good communication and people skills.
3. Doing the above (and additional responsibilities listed below) for up to $160K salary per year, plus 10-20% bonus and stock options. (the base salary is non-negotiable)


Job Description
The Vice President of Finance reports to the CEO and is responsible for hands-on management of the finance operations in a mid-sized technology startup with operations in New York, The Bay Area, and Midwest. The VP of Finance will be responsible for building and managing a Finance and Human Resources group within the company.

Roles and Responsibilities
Management of all critical finance operations including :
A/P, A/R , Billing and Collection
Purchasing requisition management
Creation and maintenance of all financial reports
Support the CEO with board meeting preparation and investor needs
Investment and M&A support (due diligence requests, etc.)
Direct interaction with the Board and Investors
Managing Human Resources activities, either directly or through 3rd Party.

Requirements
Prior experience in a financial capacity with a technology, internet or online media company.
Ability to thrive in a start-up environment; experience with venture backed companies desirable
Exceptional analytical capabilities; innovative out of the box financial thinking
Strong team building, personnel and management skills
Very high drive to succeed in a competitive, fast-paced, cutting edge market
Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills

ACORD is seeking an experienced insurance regulatory professional for its Compliance and Regulatory Affairs Department. The successful individual should have 5+ years of experience negotiating with state insurance departments obtaining property casualty filing approvals. Experience in the life/annuity and health area is a plus.
Additionally, the individual should have 5+ years analyzing state insurance department laws and regulations to identify and address necessary policy form and changes. Familiarity with property casualty policy forms, coverage concepts, ACORD forms and filing through SERFF is required.
Other job responsibilities include the ability to:
·        Research and respond to ACORD member inquiries
·        Mark up forms in response to regulatory related changes
·        Complete compliance review of forms changed during working group process
·        Execute monthly form filings to gain regulatory approval. Work with the Regulatory Analyst regarding the preparation of the material to be filed.
·        Develop the overall monthly filing  รข€" working closely with Forms team
·        Cultivate and maintain contacts with state insurance department staff
·        Identify and communicate regulatory and political issues to team leader and other management as necessary
* Perform other related duties as assigned by department head
