Here's an interesting position. Salary is in the high 30's, "generous benefits," and sounds like a very good work environment, especially if you like music. Position is based near Columbus Circle in Manhattan.

Position Summary:
The Meeting and Logistics Coordinator, reporting to the Vice President for Learning and Leadership Development and the Director of Advertising and Meetings, is responsible for coordination of all in-house and off-site meetings including the League's national conference. Serving as liaison to the League's Volunteer Council, this individual also coordinates the activities and logistics around their meetings and events. S/he is responsible for special projects, contracting and billing for advertising in print and on-line publications. 

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide logistical support for all League convenings, both on- and off-site, working with staff to ensure that meetings run smoothly and efficiently. Coordinate presentation materials; identify specific needs of presenters and ensure that they are in place; organize shipments to off-site venues; work with audio/visual vendors; draft and confirm food and beverage orders with suppliers.

Manage and coordinate use of on-site meeting spaces, serving as primary contact for members or other organizations using League spaces. Provide back-up and catering support as requested. 

List maintenance and support of exhibitor activities at League conference. 

Coordinate all planning meetings for conference and other convenings with staff: draft agendas; take and circulate minutes 

Create, circulate, and manage production plans for Mid-Winter Managers Meeting and Conference, ensuring that all information is current. 

Prepare agreements for speakers, gathering their biographical and other support materials. Track travel arrangements. Maintain current and accurate hotel list. 

Create running order and schedules. During meetings, serve as stage manager and provide additional support, as needed. 

Review and edit event materials/program book to ensure that information is accurate and matches production plans. Collect information for Addendum to Conference program book. 

Serve as primary liaison for volunteers, monitoring the activities on League360, and conducting outreach through various communication vehicles. 

Coordinate manage Volunteer Council annual meeting and programming at conference, tracking expenses to budget. 

Coordinate Gold Book and Roundtable Awards process with Volunteer Council. 

Assist in the collection of data for the annual business directory, emerging artists listings, pops listings, and the festivals listings in Symphony magazine. Maintain accurate information related to advertisers in database. 

Generate contracts, invoices, tear sheets and media kits. Reconcile invoices with finance staff at the end of each month. 

Other duties as assigned 

Work collaboratively with members of all departments

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience in meeting planning. Candidate must be highly organized and detail-oriented, with and the ability to handle multiple tasks under time constraints. Solid interpersonal skills are required. Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, relational databases), as well as a strong work ethic and service mentality. The position requires the ability to work some evenings and weekends and 2-3 weeks of travel annually.
