Position Summary:

This position reports to the Lead DBA (DBA manager) and involves direct
responsibility for the design, maintenance, and support of my client's
development database systems. The ideal candidate requires a high level of
analytical and creative skills and an in-depth knowledge of database
structure, configuration, methodology and design.

Experienced with SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012; Windows SQL Server
Profiler; Analyzer; SSIS; SQL Server Reporting Services consisting of
multiple 100GB up to 2 TB databases.

Typical Duties:

· Plan architecture, infrastructure and administer development
environment financial database systems consisting of over 200 SQL server
databases versions 2005, 2008, & 2012.

· Administer and support installations; configuration and support of
a high-availability SQL Server database environment in support of financial
services applications and products.

· Work closely with business analysts and software developers to
support existing applications and create new products in this fast-paced
dynamic software development environment

· Responsible for data backup and recovery, as well as business
continuity planning and mirroring data to offsite location to ensure data
integrity.

· Assist application developers as needed in database development.

· Create best practices documentation for backup, recovery,
performance tuning and troubleshooting of corporate database systems.

· Create and implement database reorganizations that result in
better performance and optimum storage.

· Create SQL scripts and stored procedures for recurring tasks.

· Proactively manage database server resources using perfmon,
profiler, custom scripts and third party tools.

· Manage database security to ensure the integrity of all
confidential participant, client and employee information.

· Assist in stress testing and analyzing new applications before
deployment to production servers.

· Review application stored procedures and tables to ensure
compliance with company database standards.

· Provide cross training to other engineers as necessary.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related is a
requirement.

· Requires 3+ years of direct, hands-on experience as a DBA –
Ability/Experience to perform the typical duties list above.

· MCDBA Certification highly desired.

· Experienced with SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012; Windows SQL
Server Profiler; Analyzer; SSIS; SQL Server Reporting Services consisting of
multiple 100GB up to 2 TB databases.

· Must be able to work in a schedule-driven environment. Timing is a
critical function.

· Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
are essential.

· The ability to work in an independent, self-directed manner and to
perform equally as well in a team environment will be critical to this role.

· Drive, energy, enthusiasm, maturity and confidence are all
qualities we are looking for.

· Financial Services experience preferred or other Mission Critical
Environment experience.

Position Summary:

The IT team is responsible for both maintenance and development of the
Portfolio Management, Trading, Investment Compliance and Investment Data
Systems. They are looking for a strong Business Systems Analyst who can
also lead systems projects for their Investments and Compliance Teams. This
position requires somebody who has previous experience working in Investment
Management Industry and is comfortable working closely with business units
such as Portfolio Management (PM), Trading and Investment Compliance. A good
candidate is somebody who can draw upon previous experiences to help define
and carry out initiatives that will allow IT to meet the challenges and
demands of a rapidly growing organization.

This position requires attention to detail, excellent leadership and
communication skills & ability to work both independently and closely with
other team members / departments within the firm.

Typical Duties:

· Work closely with various technical and business units across the
firm to help plan and prioritize future projects.

· Identify opportunities for improvement in the current PM, Trading
and Investment Compliance system environments and create project plans and
specifications for projects to improve upon the existing infrastructure.

· Develop Business Systems requirements, Functional Requirements and
Integration Testing strategy for various Business IT Initiatives.

· Liaise between PM, Trading and Investment Compliance business
units to understand business functional needs and then guide Developers and
QA to deliver solutions.

· Trouble-shoot issues related to the PM, Trading and Investment
Compliance workflow. This will require the ability to research and solve
problems in a high paced environment.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Bachelor's degree in a Business, Economics or Computer Science /
Engineering concentration is required.

· 10+ years experience in the Investment Management industry with
Portfolio Management, Trading and Investment Compliance systems experience.

· Extensive hands-on experience with Investment Data, Market data
and Security Master.

· Hands-on experience in creating Business Requirements, Functional
Requirements and Business workflow documents. Strong skills developing use
cases and test strategy including integration test strategy for vendor and
in-house applications.

· Understanding of Data Warehousing and Data mart strategies.

· Experience working with Order Management Systems (OMS) or
Execution Management Systems (EMS). Charles River Development (CRD)
experience, in particular, is preferred but not required.

· Strong skills writing queries and analyzing data with MS SQL
Server is required.

· Experience with reporting tools SSRS and/or Crystal Reports
preferred. Understanding of the concepts behind gathering details with
business users for report creation is most important.

· Strong documentation skills, organizational and communication
skills are required.

· Prior experience managing projects requiring communication across
multiple business and technical teams.

· Excellent Analytical and Problem solving skills.

· An outgoing personality with a willingness to work directly with
trading, trade compliance and research teams business and development teams.
