Summary:
The Senior PL/SQL ORACLE ETF (Exchange Traded Funds) Systems Programmer
Analyst is responsible for the analysis, design, coding, testing, and
implementation of the firm's STAR application program which supports the
fund accounting business needs of the firm. Individuals are responsible for
assisting clients with software applications and ensuring program
performance through systematic test plans.
STAR is a Mutual Fund Accounting & Reporting software solution, which
consists of many modules like Transaction Processing, Trade Processing,
Income Processing, and Ledger/Sub S Ledger for Accounting, Pricing, Security
Master File, European Tax Calculation, Equalization, Pooling etc. Since
Mutual Funds need to support a variety of financial instruments & processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Expert in SQL/PL SQL
* Good database design knowledge & modeling basics
* Oracle Tuning and ability to work in Unix environment
* Expert Oracle back end development experience
* Shell Scripting Knowledge
* Database Concepts
* Tuning of SQL, Indexing knowledge
* External Tables
* Loading of data with SQL Loader/Data Pump
* Good understanding of development life cycle
* ETL Basics
* Complex PL/SQL like Bulk Collect, Collections, Pipeline Function,
Global Temp Tables
* Writing reports/data extracts for huge amount of data
* Materialized views, Partitioning
* Good at Analyzing & logical thinking
* Team Player
* Self-starter/motivated
* Also needs to work/coordinate with offshore developers to get the
work done (India/Poland currently & could be other geographical locations in
future)
Required Skills and Competencies:
* Experience/Ability to perform above responsibilities
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent
work experience
* 8 + years application development experience
* 3 + years in a lead development role
* Experience with Eagle STAR highly preferred
* Experience in ETL tools
* Knowledge of Advance Queues/Oracle Streams
* Background in finance or accounting
* Knowledge of Java/C++ is a plus
* Perl Scripting is a plus.
* OLTP/DSS/Data warehouse experience is plus
* Experience working in Exadata X2-2 or X2-8 is a plus
