Below, you will find a description of this opportunity.

Studies living organisms or the effect of external stimuli on living
organisms through chemical, physical or biological methods. Designs and
performs in vitro and in vivo human studies and analyzes results using
spreadsheet/graphing and statistical programs, cellular and molecular
biology tools and computerized image analysis. The types of in vitro studies
include but are not limited to: enzymatic activity analysis, tissue culture,
DNA/RNA/protein extraction and analysis, Immunohistochemisty staining. The
responsibilities of in vivo human studies include preparing study protocol
and case report forms, recruiting subjects, supervising or administering
product application, taking images and instrumental measurements, recording
data, completing study related documents, Documenting studies in research
notebooks and monthly reports and final study reports, presenting research
data as needed, reading scientific literature and participating in research
discussions and seminars are also required.

BS/MS in biology, bio-engineering or related sciences with 0 - 5 years
experence. Hands on experience with in vitro work is required. Basic
molecular biology and/or biochemistry knowledge and experience in various
biological research techniques (Tissue culture, RT-PCR, QPCR, Western blot,
IHC, enzymatic activity analysis, DNA/RNA/protein extraction) are required.
Microscopy and computerized image analysis experience is a plus. Experience
in human clinical studies is preferred. Ability to design studies, execute
and analyze data, make conclusions and suggestions for next steps is
required. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required. Ability
to engage in individual studies and in teamwork is a must.

Reporting to the CFO, the VP of Finance is responsible and accountable for
managing the accounting and finance functions of the university in
accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), the

The position will contribute to the organization in the areas of improving
financial and operating performance specifically focusing on revenue growth,
cost reduction, process improvement and re-design, and regulatory
compliance.

The VP of Finance will also be responsible for formally establishing and
leading the organization-wide Business Continuity and Risk Management
Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Ross CFO, and in conjunction with the Director of
Budgeting and Financial Analysis, plan, develop, organize, implement, direct
and evaluate the university's fiscal functions and performance.

Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of
new programs/strategies and regulatory action.

In conjunction with the Director of Budgeting and Financial Analysis
ensure the finance group provides timely and accurate analysis of budgets,
financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the President, the
CFO, academic management, other senior executives and DeVry Health
Sciences and DeVry executives in performing their responsibilities.

Support on-going financial management credibility throughout the university
and with DeVry Health Sciences management as an effective developer of
solutions to business challenges.

Manage the periodic analysis of general operations and provide feedback to
operating personnel in terms of effective operational initiatives and
recommend change where applicable.

Establish and execute an internal audit program focused on the dispersed
physical locations of the financial functions of the University.

Provide strategic financial input and leadership on financial projections,

of potential alliances, new business, investments, etc.

Function as an advisor with a financial perspective on any contracts into
which the university may enter.

Manage departmental budget and control expenses effectively.

continuity. Lead Business Continuity team in conducting business impact

Oversee Ross's insurance coverage portfolio to include property and
casualty, malpractice, student health insurance programs and evacuation
programs

Assess and quantify physical businesses risks and then define and implement
measures to control and reduce the risks.

Coordinate insurance coverage activities in conjunction with DeVry's home
office insurance group. Provide monthly analysis of insurance expenditures
and claims activities; Control insurance coverage on incremental fixed asset
additions.

In the absence of and as the representative of the CFO, attends President's
Cabinet and Board of Directors' Meetings.

Qualifications
Creative individual with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated

Position Summary
We are seeking a Coordinator, Regional Team Operations to support the
administrative and financial operations of the Newark regional ream in a way
that maximizes the team's effectiveness and enables the region to reach its
ambitious goals. The operations coordinator provides critical operational
support through facilities and database management, scheduling and event
planning, accurate monitoring of the region's finances and communication
with its many diverse constituents. The operations coordinator will report
directly to the Executive Director.

Team Overview

Our rapidly expanding Newark movement is part of a national leadership force
of 7,800 first- and second-year corps members who are, on average, effecting
1.5 years of academic progress in a single year. This means that in a single
year, through the work of the corps members alone, we will be helping to
level the playing field for around 7,000 students in low income communities
in Newark.

Regional staff members work to train and support corps members, continually
strengthen relationships with local schools and districts, foster the
leadership of local alumni, and continue to grow the regional funding base
to ensure that Teach For America - Newark can have an even greater impact.

Scope of the Role

We seek a Coordinator, Regional Team Operations to maximize office
operations, manage financial resources, and plan region-wide events for the
Newark corps and staff members. This is a pivotal role that will focus on
developing and executing large systems and providing excellent customer
service to all-staff and corps members to ensure a positive and productive
culture on the Newark regional team. The Coordinator will work with several
teams across the Teach For America organization to ensure that the Newark
region has the operational support to meet its ambitious goals.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Office Management
Managing office operations by developing systems and employing communication
structures that maximize efficiency on a daily basis and in case of
emergencies for all staff members based in the office
Managing facilities to enhance brand identity, productivity, and staff
satisfaction, including maintenance of office technology and efficient use
of office space and resources
Serving as primary phone and reception contact for office, ensuring quality
customer service among corps members, external contacts, and other Teach For
America team members
Acting as a liaison to building management, local vendors, and Teach For
America's national support teams, such as technology, marketing,
administration, and finance.
Work with the Executive Director and Managing Director of Program to create
and manage systems for data organization and integrity
Welcoming new staff members to the office and ensuring that they have the
appropriate materials (desktop, laptop, telephone, office procedures, etc.)
to operate
Budget Tracking and Reimbursements
Coordinating budget planning, tracking budget to actual expenses, paying
bills, allocating corporate card expenses, overseeing staff reimbursements,
and making recommendations for fiscal strategy
Event Planning and Coordination
Coordinating corps member programming throughout the year such as planning
an orientation conference, corps Induction, and other large- and small-scale
event logistics,
Working with external vendors and suppliers,
Providing event management planning support to functional team partners
Staff Culture & Regional Communication

Creating and distributing weekly staff communication that reinforces culture
and important regional and organization information;
Creating and distributing monthly alumni e-newletters,
Managing the content of Newark's regional page on TFAnet through additions
of timely articles and information, solicitation of corps member input, and
facilitating incoming corps members' use of the site,
Planning and helping to execute all-staff retreats, team building events,
social gatherings and biweekly all-staff meetings
Administrative Support

Facilitating all Alumni Affairs meeting scheduling, meeting debrief and
documentation, and database accuracy, including data entry,
Produce weekly reports for the Executive Director on progress to goal across
all functional areas
