SUMMARY: Directs, monitors, evaluates daily operational and financial
activities for Patient Care Services. Designs, directs, implements and
evaluates all systems associated with Staffing, Nursing Office Systems,
Patient Classification System, Payroll, and all related financial
responsibilities for the Patient Care Services department. Serves as the
liaison for ambulatory services and for all human resource management,
including recruitment/retention activities and labor relations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Directs the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets
for the department.

2. Forecasts budget requirements for annual budget and program
development; adjusts projections based on changes in operating environment.

3. Regularly reviews comptrollers reports and analyzes results;
recommends and/or directs adjustment in expense to assure agreed upon budget
performance.

4. Prepares variance reports on staffing, census, acuity and expense
indicators based on monthly budget performance.

5. Responsible for ensuring integration of Patient Care Services
operations with other departments and systems.

6. Coordinates recruitment efforts with Directors and Human Resources.

7. Assumes a leadership role in all aspects of human resource
management, including the selection and retention of nursing personnel.

8. Develops Patient Care Services administration policies and
procedures as required.

9. Documents compliance to staffing standards, budget and
staffing/scheduling policies for Patient Care Services.

10. Integrates patient acuity with staffing requirements and
productivity.

11. Designs, directs, implements and evaluates clerical functions
within the department offices, including payroll, personnel, secretarial
support and nursing information systems.

12. Establishes all agency contracts and monitoring of agency
personnel.

13. Assures the selection, development, and evaluation of appropriate
personnel to fulfill department objectives.

14. Directs and coordinates special projects as appropriate.

15. Responsible for the management of staffing systems which is
responsible to assure appropriate staffing is provided within the
department.

16. Directs the planning and implementation of Nursing/Clinical
Automation System within the department.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

o Master's Degree in Business

o 5 to 10 years of progressive

Sr. Websphere Administrator
Location: New York city, lower manhattan
Salary in the $120k range + excellent benefits.

Senior role providing administrative support for all servers running on IBM
iSeries Power Systems (i5/OS, Linux, Windows). This person will be
responsible to administer WebSphere Application servers on Red Hat
Enterprise servers. Tasks will include: installing, configuring, upgrading,
and tuning multiple WebSphere Application servers; insuring compatibility of
supporting software and services such as Java, Linux, and third-party
applications; supporting Java developers and Java tools in deploying
applications to WebSphere; creating Python scripts for Build Automation;
creating Shell scripts for automating WAS-related services; working closely
with the Software Configuration Management Team for QA, UAT, and Production
migrations and releases; preparing procedures for Backup, Rollback, and
Rollout of application deployments and configurations; and analyzing,
identifying, and resolving WebSphere Application performance issues. In
addition, the Team Leader will also work with the system architect to
support long term technical objectives.

Job Responsibilities


* Formulate and manage project plans to accomplish the team's tasks.

* Delegate and track tasks to meet planned deadlines and budgets.

* Administer WebSphere Application Servers, and related components,
running on Red Hat servers across all development, test, and production
environments.

* Assist Operations with Disaster Recovery planning by evaluating the
current test plan and conducting recovery practices.

* Determine cost-effective backup strategies while insuring an
efficient recovery process. Analyze and recommend backup media retention
policies.

* Develop and implement appropriate Security Policies.

* Assist IT development staff with analyzing software and hardware
performance concerns and determine best usage of system internals or
capabilities.

* Liaison with the LAN group in analyzing network-related problems.

* Write programs / utilities to be used by staff and to assist in job
duties.

Requirements / Skills


* Expert knowledge in WebSphere with the ability to analyze and
identifying application performances issues.

* Ability to work in a dynamic environment with developers and the
change management team to insure that applications run correctly.

* Ability to administer WAS on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

* Demonstrate knowledge of programming languages and techniques.

* Demonstrate networking techniques such as TCP/IP, SNA, etc.

* Understanding of SOA architecture, TCP/IP communications, Change
Management, and networking.

Education and Experience


* Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer
Science, Information Services, or a related field.

* Three years experience in WebSphere environment designing and
analyzing network systems.

* Two years experience serving in a managerial capacity.

* Effective verbal and written communication skills to consult with
management, business partners, and vendors.

* Highly motivated self-starter who is willing to mentor.

* Willingness to embrace change, ability to adopt and to think
quickly.

* Team player who can work independently.

looking for a couple of senior level project managers.  The candidates are
expected to work on critical projects for one of our clients in the Property
and Casualty Insurance business. 

 

Project Managers will plan, execute, and finalize projects
according to strict deadlines and within budget. These positions will work with
Business Transformation and IT teams to help them achieve their business
objectives.

 

The Project Managers will be responsible for a number of
deliverables: requirements specifications, project plans and process
maps.  The Project Managers will also define the project's
objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. This is a
"hands on" role and will require the candidates to build strong
productive relationships with the managers and staff within the Business and
across IT organization in order to deliver effective solutions based on a
thorough understanding of the business drivers.

 

Additional Responsibilities May Include:

- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support
business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders

- Update the Change Plan to ensure that projects are
prioritized and scheduled appropriately, work with different stakeholders to
agree on the priorities

- Contribute to project team strategy and mentor other staff
members where appropriate

- Propose alternative solutions to identified gaps and
obstacles in current project initiation and reporting processes

- Effectively communicate project expectations to team
members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion

 

Requirements:

- Bachelors degree

- Prior Big-4 consulting experience is preferred

- Property & Casualty Insurance Experience

- Previous experience with Lean Six Sigma principles/project
work and improvement practices for service organizations, including successful
application of the DMAIC methodology for statistically based, proven business
and process improvement is preferred

- PMI certification is preferred

- High level of proficiency in MS Office including Project
and Visio

- Experience of working in an environment with multiple
projects with shifting priorities, demands and timelines

- Have the ability to combine "soft"
influencing, persuasion and consultancy skills with "leadership"
qualities that will encourage business leaders to positively respond to
questions, inquiries and requests to meet deadlines

- Have a strong customer focus, well developed influencing
skills and the ability to work in a fast moving environment with rapidly
