TREASURER NEEDED
New York City based international chemical and trading company seeks to hire a TREASURER to oversee all financial management, planning and investments for this 30 year old company.
Requirements:
· Commodity experience in an international environment.
· Banking and bank relations-borrowing base, bank loans, cash flow management and planning and general communications.
· Credit management-suppliers and customers.
· Insurance-marine cargo, product liability, EPL, office , Medical liability. Commodity experience, 20 +years treasury/accounting experience.
Should come from a smaller, rather than a larger, firm and be able to keep up with a fast paced entrepreneur. Should have some accounting and finance background.
Salary $150k to $175k. Career path to become CFO.

Based in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, we at Marcal Manufacturing have prided ourselves as being one of the oldest environmentally friendly paper companies in the US. For 60 years Marcal® has been making paper products using recycled paper. In 2009, Marcal Manufacturing, LLC, introduced the Marcal® Small Steps® line of 100% recycled bath tissue, towels, napkins and facial tissue for both home consumption and to distributors for commercial use. These products deliver strong performance without the typical "green premium" cost. The name Small Steps® signifies the small and easy steps toward making a difference in the world that you can make by using these recycled paper products. We currently have a Cost Accounting Manager position available within our Finance Department.
Salary $80K- $90K + Bonus
The Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient execution and improvement of all cost accounting activities. These include: product costing, inventory valuation, usage variances, and overhead allocation. Development and implementation of cycle counting, monthly close, and audit policies are also key accountabilities.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage Day-to-Day Cost Accounting Functions
• Cost center accounting
• Product costing
• Inventory valuation
• Usage variances
Financial Analysis and Reporting
• Develop meaningful management reports
• Develop accounting procedures and controls
• Monthly closing activities
This position has one direct report.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong working knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting
• Demonstrated ability to analyze product cost and margin variances, create and maintain all standard costs
• Ability to guide and direct others to implement monthly close, cycle counting, and audit procedures
• Ability to develop and implement cost reporting systems
• BPCS experience desirable
Education and Experience
• BA/BS in relevant field required
• MBA/CPA certification desirable
• Minimum 5 years manufacturing cost accounting experience, preferably in a process industry
