PM Requirements:
Strong Project Manager that has followed formal Project Management practices. Ability to track down information and follow-up on deliverables. Resource must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment, subject to change and re-direction, due to nature of Project. Resource must be able to ensure Project confidentiality and privacy.
 
Responsibilities include the following:
1.Support meeting requirements: organize participants, locations, agendas, and minutes
2.Track project milestones and deliverables

4.Ensure all tactical plans developed are in line with key components of Project strategy
5.Set and continually mange project expectations with team members and other stakeholders

Project Summary:
The Service Management Office (SMO), is planning to implement a global IT Service Management SaaS solution (ServiceNow) as a replacement for our current ITSM solution (Remedy) which is highly customized and unsupported by the vendor. The in-scope processes are Incident, Problem, Asset-Configuration, Request, Change & Release Management.

Implementing a SaaS ITSM solution will provide the following benefits to the client:

1.A fully deployed solution will enable the client to work across a multi-provider landscape more effectively, while enabling those providers to leverage their own best practices where possible. It will provide near real-time visibility into the demand and supply for more accurate resource and service demand planning. Accurate data will ensure capability to perform analytics and reporting that will enable decision-making and continuous improvement.
2.An IT Service Management solution will help streamline, standardize and facilitate end-to-end service delivery processes from end user initiation through resolution/fulfillment, which reduces cost and supports speed to deliver.
3.Having visibility into IT service demand would enable making pragmatic improvements to current processes within a specified timeframe.
4.The client will be able to maintain regulatory compliance and fulfill related reporting requirements.
5.Elimination of an in-house solution eliminates the cost associated with maintaining infrastructure standards, software patches and upgrades, and related support staff.
6.Leveraging a SaaS solution enables the client to take advantage of new features and functionality introduced as part of regular releases, while balancing risk with opt-in/opt-out capabilities.

The solution will provide efficiency, and reduce language and geographic dependency, by combining Optical Character Recognition (OCR) with a workflow solution that is tightly integrated with SAP.

The Solution shall be able to:
- Scan the invoices received through paper,
- Automatically extract the relevant information from the paper invoice documents,
- Provide a user friendly interface for the correction of highlighted issues,
- Export extracted data to the client's information systems (SAP®. ECC6.0 and IXOS 9.6.1),
- Manage all the processes related to invoice validation into SAP for paper and EDI invoices
- Manage invoice discrepancies through workflows Import the invoices received through EDI,

The benefits of the Solution will be:
- A significant reduction of non-value added tasks,
- More efficient invoice validation and matching, and reduction of human error
- Faster and easier access to the invoice information electronically which will make it easier for the processor and the approver
- Improved information tracking, and, consequently, the refocus of invoice entry staff on value add business management activities to provide discrepancy reason visibility.

All these elements have a significant impact in reducing costs and providing productivity gains. The overall paper invoice page volume to be processed by the Solution is 600,000 to 750,000 pages yearly for North America, South America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

* Participate in the team-based portfolio meeting to review and assign new projects.

Pentagon Issues Challenge for Learning Applications

WASHINGTON, March 28, 2012 - Defense Department officials today launched
a challenge to the public to develop innovative mobile applications that
provide science, technology, engineering and math learning tools.
The contest, which will run from April 2 to June 4, is headed by the
Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative, a DOD research and development
office.
The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) App
Challenge will benefit national STEM efforts for kindergarten through
high school education, but also have an immediate impact on the Defense
Department, said Kristy Murray, director of the Advanced Distributed
Learning Initiative.
"We are always looking for innovative ideas for how we better
incorporate mobile devices for learning within DOD," Murray said.
The challenge is open to all mobile app developers who have creative
ideas for developing apps that foster problem-solving, discovery, and
exploratory learning in the targeted area of common misconceptions of
science, Murray said. There is no cost for entering the challenge.
Winning developers will be showcased at the Advanced Distributed
Learning Initiative's iFest Conference in Orlando, Fla., July 31 to Aug
2. For more information or to submit an entry, visit the STEM App

A major Bank Holding Company located in New York City is looking for a Vice President to assist in the execution of the key
activities within the financial audit team at the Bank.

Experience Required:
Audit execution and management
Business and technology required
Personnel Management
Relationship Management
Participate on certain regional and global activities
Must have 10+ years in an auditing, financial or managerial position
Thorough knowledge of Banking Industry and Regulations
Public and or Private experience is required
Language skills (Portugese or Spanish a plus

Education:

College Degree with a major in Accounting or Finance
CPA or CIA are required

Salary is up to 135k plus a bonus / H-1B candidates do not qualify.

About 60 to 80 percent of people get their jobs through networking. Based on that fact alone, people in search of their next position should master this art. The audience will learn about:

- What are the common barriers to networking and much more.
This one hour long presentation will clarify many of the myths associated with this subject.
