Hours per Week : 40
Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other technical related field.
Must have at least 3 years prior hands-on experience developing SQL Server 2008 R2 based applications using industry standards.
Primary responsibilities in this role will require expert knowledge of SQL. Primary responsibilities include writing complex stored procedures, reports, triggers, ad-hoc queries and working with development team members. You will also be required to troubleshoot and optimize the performance of the database and stored procedures. You must be detail oriented to succeed in this role.
• Architect and design new database structures and schema
• Writing complex queries, functions and stored procedures (utilizing, for example: cursors, loops, inner joins, left joins, temp tables, user defined functions, views, indexes, denormalization, etc.)
• Creating reports using Microsoft*s SQL Reporting Services
• Performing adhoc troubleshooting and data correction for end user
• Perform database performance tuning using best practices
• Making database diagrams
• Analyzing requirements and engaging in discussions and brainstorming with technical and non-technical staff
• Refactoring/troubleshooting existing database artifacts as needed
• Create schedules agent jobs and perform daily maintenance to keep database performing at highest quality
Required:
Minimum of 5 years' experience writing complex T-SQL queries (working with complex joins, temp tables, string manipulation, data reconciliation, query tuning, etc.)
Minimum 3 years experience with SQL Server 2008 R2. Database performance analysis and tuning.
