Start:  Multiple openings, onboarding now through December 2013
Job Description: 
·         Design, implement, troubleshoot, plan and optimize network architectures
·         Develop high quality network configurations for the implementation of mobility and Voice Solutions, including Layer 3 VPNS and Layer 2 (VPLS-based) VPNS.
·         Use Cisco, Juniper platforms, Foundry, Ciena platforms which include, MWR2941, C7609, 6500 switches, ASR-903, ASR-901, ASR-9010, GSR-12K routers, Juniper M320, Juniper MX480/960 and switch platforms C3800, C3600, C3560, C3750, Ciena 3960, Ciena 3930, Ciena 3911, Foundry 8500
·         Apply networking fundamentals including IPV6, TCP/IP, network routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, conceptually and practically good in MPLS/VPN, WAN solutions
·         Implement and troubleshoot QoS in LAN and WAN networks
·         Configure and troubleshoot L2 switching technologies including STP, MSTP, VTP, HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP
·         Work on networking layer 1, 2, 3, 4-7 testing tools including Spirent Test center, IXIA Network, Spirent Avalanche, IXIA load generator, Net Flow Analyzer, benchmarking tools including Spirent QSCOPE, network impairment tools including packet storm, IXIA ANUE.  Perform Scripting and automation of testing with TCL and PERL languages.  Analyze the design, prepare test plans based on test platform capabilities, construct, configure and troubleshoot network test bed.
·         Write deployment guidelines; respond to escalations caused by network technology issues and/or customer issues and work on forward looking technology insertion projects, which will include upgrades, migrations, new feature enablement, and other projects
·         Test and configure LAN/MAN technologies including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, ATM, Frame-Relay and LAN technologies including Ethernet and VLAN.  Maintain and administer the computer networks and related computing environments; which include UNIX and SUN servers, SNMP servers, load balancers, IBM blade servers
·         Perform cell site backhaul network testing to validate network behavior
·         Provide field support for the tested and deployed technologies
·         Maintain, administer the routing and switch networks and related computing environments including hardware, system software, application software, routers/switches configuration
·         Provide expertise and support to the team in the routing domain, switching domain, test application software/firmware design and network setup
·         Optimize network performance, interoperability, and robustness by configuring and testing new network equipment
·         Perform all of the foregoing applying extensive knowledge of IP, MPLS, MPLS Traffic Engineering Multicast, L2 and L3 VPNs, Multicast VPN, PNNI, BGP, router technology, Layer 2 switch technology (FR/ATM), EMS , SNMP, Network Management
·         Recent and extensive experience with Cisco GSR & CRS1 routers, Ethernet switches, Juniper routers, Cisco CRS1, Cisco MGX FR/ATM switches. 
 
Education:Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Related Field and 2 years of experience in the job offered.

My client, a well-established and very successful materials
manufacturer, in North Central CT, serving well-known, multinational
industrial and consumer companies is looking to hire a Supply Planning
Manager. This position will manage the performance of the supply chain
for this plant.Establish and manage key business processes across the
network of departments that comprise the supply chain for this facility,
including Planning, Purchasing, and Distribution. Specifically, he or
she will:
Develop, implement and manage effective supply chain policies, processes
and procedures and, working with the team, develop an aggressive vision,
based on world class supply chain parameters.
Develop and implement operating systems to drive functional excellence
throughout the supply chain system.
Manage processes to fully integrate planning, purchasing and distribution.
Own and control the supply chain budgets and initiate and track cost
reduction activities.
Recruit and manage direct reports and take an active role in career
training and development with frequent informal feedback and annual
performance reviews.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local regulations and codes,
e.g. OSHA, plant rules, and environmental regulations.
Analyze, challenge and confirm the global production plan for the plant
and synchronize the production plan and delivery plan.
Plan the production volumes in close cooperation with the business,
making sure that materials are available in time and that master data is
maintained.
Coordinate locally on the implementation of the new Integrated Business
Planning (IBP) processes.Be the key contact from supply chain for IBP

Monitor finished goods stock level: implementation of target stock
levels, monitoring of the slow moving products.
Manage planning: detailed scheduling, mid-term and long-term planning,
stock policies (make to order, make to stock).Planning will encompass:
Establishing plant specific capacity and inventory plans.
Establishing best-in-class forecasting, planning and inventory
management processes working with other departments to reach consensus
on the plan and to drive execution.
Leading implementation of customer and vendor facing pull planning
and/or vendor managed Inventory Programs (VMI)
Establishing consistent structure and clear metrics to measure the
effectiveness of the planning organization in alignment with overall

Providing supply planning / IBP training and development to key leaders

*Required Competencies*
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in a relevant field:Business, Supply Chain
Management, Engineering or related field.Graduate degree preferred.
Five+ years experience in Supply Chain management in a customer-oriented
environment.
Excellent knowledge of manufacturing and planning systems, ideally with
experience in variety of ERP/MRP environments.Good knowledge of
production planning (detailed scheduling, recipes and bills of material)
and global planning (demand planning, supply planning).Has deployed and
managed IBP, order management, supply and demand planning, and logistics.
Experience in lean manufacturing.Experience is Six Sigma is a plus.
Has demonstrated sound planning, analysis and organizational skills and
