| Help Desk/Network Engineer Investment Technology Partners a leading provider of cloud based computing solutions to the financial industry is currently seeking to add a Help Desk /Network Engineer to our highly motivated IT team. Job Description - Respond to telephone calls, e-mails and personnel requests for technical support
- Provide level one support resolving day-to-day technical issues for 200+ users within our corporate office, 4 remote offices and traveling employees. Support will be provided both desk-side and over the telephone. ITP runs a 24/7 operations window, which requires after-hours on-call availability.
- Setting up, repairing and maintaining a wide range of hardware (servers, desktops, laptops, printers and all other peripherals) and software (MS Office, Bloomberg, other financial software) and providing technical assistance and training to the end-users.
- Work closely with other IT personnel on system maintenance and configuration projects
Required Skills and Experience - Bachelor's Degree
- 3 to 5 years' experience in IT support and/or Network Administration, Virtual Desktop, Cloud based Computing.
- Strong all-round troubleshooting skills; ability to provide both local and remote support (by telephone, on the spot and through a remote connection)
- Strong skills and experience with Windows XP, Windows 7, Microsoft Office suite 2007/2010
- Experience with setup, configuration and troubleshooting of all hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, components)
- Understanding of installation, configuration and troubleshooting of a wide variety of software applications.
- Familiarity with blackberry devices and remote access
- Outstanding personality and a strong desire and ability to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong customer service skills, ability to communicate with all different levels of personnel
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize
Desirable Skills and Experience - Involvement in setup, configuration, troubleshooting & maintaining Windows Server 2003/2008
- Understanding of Microsoft Exchange, SQL and Clustering technologies
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Citrix, Ghosting, Apple Mac and Video-conferencing
- Knowledge of Bloomberg and other financial software
- A+, MCITP, MCDST, MCTS and/or MCSE certifications
- Financial industry experience
Details - Position is full-time salaried and located in New York City.
- Starting salary of $60K to $65K with potential for bonus.
