Position Summary:

This is a senior database administrator position that will be responsible
for running projects and support within a group of DBA's in our Operations
and Infrastructure team. This position will report directly to the
Infrastructure manager and will involve responsibility of all database
systems. The ideal candidate requires a high level of analytical and
creative skills and an in-depth knowledge of database structure,
configuration, methodology and design. The ability to design and implement
automation and scheduled tasks using a variety of technologies is critical
to this role.

Experience with SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012; Windows servers; Powershell;
SQL Server Reporting Services; very large databases; project management
methodologies.

Responsibilities:

· Plan architecture and infrastructure for a financial database
systems environment with numerous SQL Server databases in versions 2005,
2008 and 2012.

· Design installation scripts and automation; configure and write
supporting documentation for a high-availability SQL Server database
environment in support of financial services applications and products.

· Work closely with business analysts and software developers to
support existing applications and create new products in a fast-paced
dynamic software development environment.

· Design and assist with database backup and recovery and ensure a
business continuity planning solution

· Create documentation and best practices for access and controls,
benchmarking, policy management, backups and recovery, performance,
reliability, usability and support.

· Create SQL and Powershell scripts and stored procedures for
recurring tasks

· Automate the management of database security to ensure the
integrity of all confidential participant, client and employee information.

· Assist and design stress testing of new applications before
deployment to production servers

· Develop automated policies for database code to ensure compliance
with company database standards and Microsoft best practices.

· Provide cross training to other engineers as necessary

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related is a
requirement.

· Requires 7-10+ years of direct, hands-on experience as a DBA.

· Microsoft certification for SQL Server required.

· Experience with an investment/hedge fund or financial services
company highly desired.

· Must be able to work in a schedule-driven, regulated and
Compliance driven environment. Timing is a critical function.

· Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
are essential.

· The ability to work independently and as part of a team will be
critical to this role.

· Must set high standards and integrity while motivating the team to
succeed.

· Flexibility with regards to scheduling, including after hours and
weekends, is required. 24x7 on call support for scheduled days required.
Ability to travel to other data centers required.

Position Summary:

Department Profile:

The IT Team is responsible for the development and support of corporate
business applications. This team consists of approximately 175 technology
professionals whose key functions include application development, system
integration, application support, and production support. The Enterprise
Architecture team supports the investment teams, marketing and client
relations, and legal and compliance, in addition to all of IT operations
including infrastructure, production control and software development.

Overview:

The architect will participate in the design and prototyping of new projects
and feature enhancements for applications in a broad range of business
activities, troubleshooting problems in existing applications, and
evangelizing proper design and development methodologies. Additionally, the
candidate should be willing to prepare and present lectures on development
technologies with the aim to educate and enhance the skill set of our IT
community. The candidate should be familiar with the Microsoft technology
stack in general, and .NET in particular (see requirements below) with
exposure to other competitive and complementary technologies.

Position Summary:

We have an opening on our software Quality Assurance Team for an experienced
testing engineer with industry knowledge of equity markets for financial
services. This role requires systems analysis and manual testing expertise
coupled with the ability and interest in building automated testing
solutions. Along with an understanding of the industry, this hands-on tester
must be practiced at the following: Analyzing business requirements and user
acceptance tests to develop and document solid test strategies and test
plans, hands-on testing of C# .Net client/server and distributed tier
software solutions, troubleshooting n-tier platforms including environmental
and data consistency issues, and advanced SQL Server query skills. Our
quality assurance team members work in a dedicated environment that mirrors
Production; As a result, the quality assurance engineers are required to
understand and maintain the environment in support of their testing
initiatives. Experience managing virtual servers, active directory and
databases is helpful in this role.

This role is not solely technical – our QA engineers work closely with
developers and users to build a thorough understanding of the specific
financial services domains, enabling them to delve into business
requirements and converse with users to solidify requirements and solutions.
The test engineer will work closely with internal users and systems
personnel throughout the SDLC to coordinate project initiatives from the
requirements phase through Production deployment

Responsibilities:

· Ability to build and document a comprehensive test strategy and
accompanying test plan for new platforms and system enhancements to existing
solutions.

· Estimation of testing effort

· QA environment configuration

· Performing functional, exploratory, integration and regression
testing

· Coordination of and handoff to users for UAT testing, issue
tracking and prioritization, proactive communication of project status,

Primary Technologies: UTF (formerly QTP), T-SQL, SQL Server 2005/8/12, C#,
Win Forms, MVC, WCF, nServiceBus, nCache, SSRS, javascript, Visual

Required Skills and Competencies:

· The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of success as
a software quality assurance tester in investment management / financial
services trade compliance or a related discipline.

· Ability to effectively manage and deliver small to mid-size
project initiatives independently.

· Strong analytical and organizational skills. Detail oriented.

· Applied knowledge of the full SDLC with the ability to write
comprehensive test strategies and plans based on documented and undocumented
business requirements.

· 5+ years hands-on quality assurance testing of custom and packaged
solutions.

· 2+ years programming in a Microsoft environment.

· 2+ years experience using Microsoft SQL Server (2005 or 2008)
including querying complex schemas and stored procedure development or

· Experience with Application Lifecycle Management on Microsoft Team

· Experience with Investment, Trading, Compliance and/or Reporting

preferred.
