[itroundtable] Fw: [THESEARCHQUEEN] Claims Specialist to 80- 90K+ nyc

Salary will go to 80's for Staff and if they are Sr will go to low 90's

least 5 years with primary, general liability claims handling experience, to handle a docket of claims with a nationwide claims territory. We would prefer a person "on the senior side" in terms of experience level, but we're open to people with mid-level experience.   This person needs to have broad experience in the types of claims that can be reported under a CGL policy, and has to be very adept at handling all coverage issues that could arise.   Additionally, 2 or more years of commercial auto claims experience is a big plus as the position may well involve a mixture of CGL and commercial auto claims.   This person needs to have experience handling litigating, high exposure claims and needs to be able to effectively handle a large pending (about 250).

Other requirements:

Familiarity with claims involving New York Labor Law, Construction PD and BI; Construction Defect, Toxic Tort; Products Liability; Premises Liability; Personal Injury (particularly wrongful eviction / habitability claims)

Understands risk transfer; "insured contract" analysis in regards to liability and/or additional insured status.  .

Hard working, proactive approach to handling claims.   (Knows how to move a file along to resolution… Effective user of diary system.)

Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills. Can interact well with insureds, brokers, underwriters, and other stakeholders. Emails professionally.

Experience attending trials and mediations.

Excellent claim evaluation and settlement negotiation skills.

Excellent customer service and presentation skills. Responds timely to all inquiries.

Excellent business writing skills. (Can draft coverage letters, large loss reports to senior managers, and consistently submits error free work product)
