How appropriate that I'm able to share my good news with you on Labor Day. I landed a three-month engagement with Credit Suisse in NYC. Hopefully, it will turn into something longer or permanent. Regardless, at least for the next three months, I'm going to work everyday. I started on September 3.

I'm serving as a business analyst specific to their instant messaging systems and compliance regulations.

I plan (and hope) to be able to continue my WNO activities. As we all know, networking is not me-centric-- rather it's us-centric.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Hi Ken,

Hope all is well and that you all are having an enjoyable summer.

My team and I are resuming our quarterly "Executive Networking
Breakfast" on September 29^th and we would like to extend the usual
invitation to your Westchester networking group. If you can forward
this invitation to your members, we would greatly appreciate it.

Best regards,

Joe

P.S.

Our May event had over 100 attendees. Thank you!

_______________________________________

Please find the attached invitation for our quarterly "Executive
Networking Breakfast" held at the Trumbull Marriott at 180 Hawley Lane,
Trumbull, CT 06611 on Tuesday, September 29^th from 8:00AM-11:00AM.

<<Invitation.doc>>

This is the 27th event we have facilitated since 2002. Our previous
events were received with tremendous openness and success; we have had
over 1400 senior level executives attend from diverse backgrounds such
as finance, accounting, human resources, marketing, technology, law,
publishing, engineering, and research. We also have seen tremendous
support from local area networking groups such a New Canaan CaTS,
Westport Trinity, Darien Professionals, Execunet, FENG, MENG, TENG,
local search agencies, as well as other local executive networking forums.

At our last event in May, we had over 100 attendees and had an
additional 25 people on our waiting list (for the May program, we made
an exception to double the program size due to abnormal demand). Our
normal program is limited to 50 participants per event. At the 5 events
prior to May, we reached our limit of 50 participants per event and had
additional people on our waiting list. For all these events, we reached
our capacity 2 weeks prior to the event so please respond immediately if
you are interested.

For this event, we have retained prominent executive coach, Rich Gee, to
speak. Last Election Day, Rich Gee (_www.richgee.com_
<http://www.richgee.com>) was interviewed by Kathie Lee and Hoda on/ The
Today Show/ for his groundbreaking opinions on career and workplace
issues. Over the past 10 years, Rich and his team have inspired
thousands of executives to make the shift from an idea and turn it into
action â€" to achieve bigger, more rewarding results and have more fun
during the process. He’s one of the nation’s leading executive coaches,
regularly tapped by/ The New York Times/,/ Wall Street Journal/, and/
Fortune/ for interviews on key business topics. Rich helps CEOs, VPs,
Directors and Managers move past blind spots (we all have them) and
master the leadership, communication and emotional intelligence skills
they need to have a greater impact in their organizations. As Rich
frequently quotes, “There are people who make things happen â€" there are
people who watch things happen â€" and there are people who wonder what
happened. Who are you?”

For this event, Rich will present “The best jobs are never advertised.”
Rich will illustrate how to ‘work the system’ to connect with key
decision makers, get them to notice you, and make them want you for
their team. You’ll also learn how to develop a robust array of
colleagues, friends, and acquaintances to help you find those key
connections with the companies you would kill to work for.

It has been researched and documented that greater than 80% of
senior-level job opportunities are discovered via networking. Our goal
is to create a fun and informative environment to facilitate such
networking and executive learning. Part of the session will be "speed
networking," where participants will meet individuals like themselves to
uncover potential ideas and opportunities.

Please RSVP to Chris Phillips by calling (203) 861-5976 or emailing
_christopher_phillips@ml.com_ <mailto:christopher_phillips@ml.com> with
your name, phone number, address, and a copy of your resume. Your
resume is requested so we can ensure qualification. We welcome you to
this free event and look forward to meeting you.

*_Managing Job Transition_*

The average American can expect to change jobs at least eleven times
during his or her career. Taking a new position often opens the door to
enhanced career opportunities/ and/ increased earnings. On the other
hand, leaving an employer can present an employee with critical and
potentially confusing decisions. Understanding the financial choices
that are available can help protect you and your family.

**Joseph I. Chu, Vice President - Wealth Management Advisor, will
identify some problems that often occur in career transition and present
possible strategies for resolution. The seminar seeks to help you take
your first step to develop planning strategies to make the most of your
assets and ensure a smooth and profitable transition.

*_Networking From The ‘Top-Down’ - The Best Way To Get That Job_*

“The best jobs are never advertised.” Rich will illustrate how to ‘work
the system’ to connect with key decision makers, get them to notice you,
and make them want you for their team. You’ll also learn how to develop
a robust array of colleagues, friends, and acquaintances to help you
find those key connections with the companies you would kill to work for.

Last Election Day, Rich Gee (_www.richgee.com_ <http://www.richgee.com>)
was interviewed by Kathie Lee and Hoda on/ The Today Show/ for his
groundbreaking opinions on career and workplace issues. Over the past 10
years, Rich and his team have inspired thousands of executives to make
the shift from an idea and turn it into action â€" to achieve bigger, more

their organizations. As Rich frequently quotes, “There are people who
make things happen â€" there are people who watch things happen â€" and
there are people who wonder what happened. Who are you?”

*___Networking_*

One of the most effective ways to expand your circle of influence is
through the process of networking. Word of mouth can enhance not only
your potential to discover opportunity, but it also can facilitate
opportunity to discover you. Executive networking seeks to bring
together experience-intensive individuals to interact with professionals
of similar career levels from different industries, companies, and
career aspirations. In these segments, you will network with management
level individuals and recruiters to extend your sphere of influence,
seek advancement opportunities, expand professional awareness, and to
accelerate your career.
