v International Manufacturer of Consumer Packaged Goods seeks a Director Lean /
Continuous Improvement to be based at their New Jersey Corporate Headquarters.

* The Director will be responsible for defining and applying Lean / Continuous
Improvement strategies throughout the various manufacturing sites.

* Will review the current key performance metrics, insuring that a sufficient
level of Kaizen activity is occurring across the various sites and facilitate
events as necessary, benchmarking Best Practice companies and training the work
force in Lean methods.

Ø Be responsible for creating Lean Teams at the various manufacturing sites and
coach, mentor, provide direction, educate, motivate, and oversee these teams in
the performance improvement process to increase manufacturing effectiveness
across production operations (processing / packaging) and facilitate change as
necessary to meet company objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Require a BS degree, engineering preferred, with minimum 10 years experience
in Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement preferably with a consumer
packaged goods company such as foods, beverages, household products, personal
care, toiletries, cosmetics, etc.

* Other related industries will be considered.
* Should have prior experience with Kaizen Planning and Facilitation combined
with tools such as Value Stream Mapping, SMED, TPM, Root Cause Analysis, 5S,
OEE, etc.

* Require strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills.
* Domestic travel will be around 20-30%.
* Excellent opportunity to join a major corporation with outstanding

Ø General Comments: Our client, a leading International manufacturer of
Consumer Packaged Goods seeks their top corporate executive for Performance
Improvement Programs.

Ø Individual will be responsible for the development of the performance
improvement practices, procedures, and strategy at multiple manufacturing and
distribution facilities in the US.

· Provide expertise in the area of Lean, TPM and Total Quality
implementations throughout the organization. Introduce good performance
improvement management practices and motivate others to utilize them.

· Develop and implement self audits designed to provide roadmaps for the
performance improvement strategy implementation at the sites.

· Validate the Annual Performance Improvement Plans proposed by the
sites and approve the corresponding budgets.

Additionally, track the Performance Improvement of the sites for OEE (overall
equipment efficiency) and PUR (Processing Uptime Ratios) as well as other
appropriate statistics relevant to the implemented strategies for the group,
division, and plant and distribution centers - management statistics and
implementation of Improvement Plans.

· Individual desired should have minimum 10 years Operational
Manufacturing Management Responsibility in a consumer products company and be
experienced in implementing Lean and TPM initiatives.

· Should have experience with multiple sites and have a more "strategic"
than "hands-on" approach.

· Should have excellent People and People Management Skills,
communication skills, and display a PASSION for Autonomous management and
working with teams.

· Degree required, MBA a plus.
· Travel 20-30%.
