Direct client for 1 year Contract and Go Permanent (Contract to Hire)

Requirement:

Seeking a Business Analyst to understand our Commercial Insurance Underwriting Unit's business processes and requirements and then translate them into requirements documentation.

Position Description:
*Ability to analyze and document business requirements through Business Domain Models, Business Process Maps, Use Cases, Mockups, Prototypes, and Data Dictionaries. These skills will be used within a large program of work to develop strategic cutting edge UW systems and sunset legacy systems. Candidate will apply knowledge of system capabilities and business needs and work with development team to identify system solutions. Conducts system testing, quality assurance testing, user acceptance testing, and user training sessions as needed to support functional and maintenance releases.
*Ability to communicate and interfaces effectively with business units, technology teams and support teams and individuals at all levels of the organization to understand and document requirements (such as functional, interface, and GUI designs).
*Ability to transform complex business processes into simple-to-comprehend business requirements.

Position Requirements:
*Bachelor's degree with 6-10 years of Business Analyst experience, plus formal training/certification in Use Case Documentation with expertise in:

*UML: Use Case Diagram
*UML: Use Case Model
*Fully Dressed Use Case
*System Use Case vs Business Use Cases
*Use Case Scenarios, Primary and Alternate
*Use Case Extensions
*Sub Use Cases
As defined in Alistair Cockburn's, Writing Effective Use Cases

*Insurance Domain Experience is a plus, but not required.
*Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Visio.
