Position Summary:
The Lead Programmer is responsible for new development and production
support of PeopleSoft applications, HRMS, and financials including
integration with other processes and applications, participating in
Peoplesoft software upgrades, and providing technical and functional support
for business users.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Meet with business users to analyze business processes, understand
requirements, and recommend technical solutions
· Design and develop PeopleSoft code in accordance to business
requirements
· Design and develop enhancements to existing Peoplesoft software in
accordance to business requirements
· Diagnose and resolve production issues in a timely manner
· Participate in the development of system test plans
· Document all custom code changes
· Develop reports using PS reporting tools, such as query, nVision,
SQR, etc., based on business requirements
· Monitor production job schedules
· Enhance system performance where needed by analyzing programs,
reviewing indexes, and redefining processes
· Setup and configure process scheduler jobs and distribution
· Provide status updates to manager and business users
· Develop interfaces required to 3rd parties
· Provide reports and data extracts as directed by SOX audits
Required Skills and Competencies:
· 5+ years experience with PeopleSoft applications - HR or
Financials
· Advanced knowledge of Peoplesoft tool set including Application
Engine, Application Designer, CI, Process Scheduler and Reporting tools.
· Demontrated expertise in PS Application designer, Application
Engine, CI, SQR
· Peoplecode, Process Scheduler, Workflow
· Peoplesoft Tools; Application Designer; Application Engine;
Peoplecode; CI, SQR
· Working knowledge of MS SQLServer
· Completion of Peoplesoft Training classes including Tools, SQR,
PeopleCode and Component Interface
· BS/BA Computer Science or equivalent work experience
· Peoplefoft process scheduler process
· Peoplesoft security
