Major health system in NYC has an immediate need for an Execution PM for their current Active Directory Migration. This position is responsible for the execution and post support of this project.

The Project Manager plans, manages and coordinates project activities to ensure goals and objectives of a mid-sized project, or multiple phases of a large project are accomplished within the specified time-frame and funding parameters. This position includes supporting the current Active Directory Migration project (gathering, defining and documenting requirements, tasks and budgets) and their execution (running and managing of the projects) as well as post migration support.

Responsibilities include:

Reviews project plan to determine time-frame, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements and allotment of resources to various phases of the project.
Establishes work plan and staffing for each project phase and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project staff.
Confers with project staff to outline work plan and assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority.
Manages activities of project staff to ensure project progress is on schedule and within budget.
Reviews status reports and modifies schedules and/or plans as required.
Prepares and presents project reports for management, clients or others.
Confers with project staff to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
Coordinates project activities with organizations or agencies outside the health system.
Tracks actual performance against planned project performance, analyzes variances, and work with project team to ensure all customer needs are met while maintaining control of the project.

Qualifications:

Program Management Institute (PMI) Certification, preferred.
Project management, communication, presentation, relationship building and strategic planning and implementation skills, required.
Experience with MS Project and Excel required.

Execution PM
• Work with the Wintel team to validate the accuracy of each migration event's data
• Coordinate the migration time-line for department groupings within a migration event
• Ensure SME resources are allocated and scheduled for the migration event
• Monitor and report on migration progress
• Escalate issues as they arise
• Handle 2 to 3 migrations per week

Post Migration Support PM with Execution responsibilities
• Responsible for Day 2 support
• Coordinate on-site support resources for each migration event
• Work with the customer to record and track migration issues to resolution
• Record lessons learned. Coordinate with the team to adjust for lessons learned.
• Coordinate day 3 Help Desk support for each migration event
• As the Day 2 support demands subside, this position will take on PM Execution responsibilities

Responsibilities:
· Manage Program/project scope, quality and timeline in conjunction with software deliverables.
o Regularly report status to business and Informatics sponsors.
o Prepare and maintain documentation including planning, analysis, design, implementation/testing, and deployment deliverables.
o Develop and Implement a plan to track and manage project timelines and resource utilization. Manage timeline and coordination among sub-projects; ensure that cross-project dependencies are identified, communicated, and tracked. Design and Implement a plan for software and hardware upgrades for multiple systems (25 --> 18) across 3 sites.
o Develop and manage communication plan
o Refine and implement quality assurance plan - elaboration of test script and elaboration of test plans. Facilitate the design, documentation and implementation of user test plans for IVDM systems
o Coordinate and manage project meetings and communications.
o Coordination of software development life cycle (SDLC) and implementation phase of the project.
o Coordination of workflow, resource, customer, site and fiscal requirements across the APO and IVDM projects as well as the ongoing production support requirements.
 
· Execute Business Analysis and project scoping:
o Coordinate system analysis and design workshops with internal client and external stakeholders. Business Analysis and project scoping for informatics / communication processes for novel robotic systems (IVDMs); develop and manage plan to implement informatics/communications.
o Aid in refinement of use cases, business rules, and functional requirements; documentation and outreach to scientific community and requestors, where needed.
o Assist team in considering impact of alternate workflows; model process flows to support alternatives assessment.
 
· Manage Vendor development software lifecycle, including exploring opportunities for collaboration on platform consolidation
 
Skills and Experience Required
· Experience in Pharmaceutical Industries.
· Preferred experience managing projects in a Pharmaceutical Discovery environment and with capabilities including software, lab instrumentation, and process components
· PM skills
o PMP Certified highly desirable
o Ability to manage and prioritize work across multiple projects, with different stakeholders, simultaneously.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing/ documentation.
o Excellent time and resource management skills
o Vendor management
o PMI Certification a strong plus.
· BA Skills - requirements gathering; strong process analysis and modeling
· Domain knowledge - Discovery or Research Automation, High Throughput Screening, Discovery
· QA - test planning, test coordination
· Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint implementations.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a cross site team with minimal supervision.
