My direct client, in the Cable and Satellite Industry , has an immediate need for an Infrastructure Business Analyst / Project Manager
Duration: 1+ year
Location: NYC
Rate: Open

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst/Program Manager will lead project teams to deliver multiple, simultaneous projects that span across several business or technology areas.
The Business Analyst/Program Manager will manage resources, schedule, financials, and quality controls through
the full application life cycle. This also includes focused risk and issue management ensure successful and
on-time project delivery. The Business Analyst/Program Manager will often work in close coordination with the IS&T
Program Leadership, (e.g., VP Infrastructure, VP, Enterprise Solutions Delivery) to successfully manage and
deliver projects. The Business Analyst/Program Manager will also contribute to the development of a
project management methodology.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Accountable for the delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects ensuring scope, schedule, and quality objectives are
attained.
• Ensures quality standards through effective use of delivery methods and standards.
• Effectively applies methodologies and standards.
• Collaborates with business and technology leads to build well-structured project plans that segment projects into
pre-defined phases.
• Establishes a common understanding of project timelines, milestones, and expectations on delivery utilizing expert
communication and leadership skills.
• Provides direction to project resources, monitors development efforts, assembles key project deliverables, and
intelligently identifies issues requiring escalation when reporting project status.
• Minimizes exposure to risk which could impact schedule, cost or quality.
• Monitors change requests and prevent unapproved requirement modifications that result in scope creep.
• Communicates project implementation options that affect cost, schedule, quality and risk to stakeholders, as well as other recommendations based on these elements
• Direct the effective execution of tasks/processes on a project.
• Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
• Keep senior management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results.
• Determine methods and procedures on new assignments, and provide guidance and assistance to senior Business
Analyst/Program Manager.
• Demonstrate judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions for a project.
• Serve as an expert in-house project consultant.
• From: evaluating needs, vendor selection, designing RFPs, building a tool/product for company internal use.
• To: planning and directing implementation efforts.
• Exhibit sound and accurate decision making serve; as expert resource for problem solving.
• Manage people and other resources indirectly as part of a cross-functional team that is required to complete a
project.
• Facilitate team meetings effectively.
• Keep project team members informed of changes.
• Identify and obtain resources needed and assign to individuals.
• Mentor team members, motive team to succeed and give recognition for results.
• Act as a subject matter expert on various areas and an advocate in adopting new best practices and processes.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and lead implementation of changes.
• Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of multiple factors.

SPECIFIC EMPHASES:
• Led and managed the Infrastructure or overall IS&T scope for one of more divestitures (preferably for the divesting
company)
• Led various infrastructure move/migration projects involving AD/Email, servers, storage, data centers, WAN/LAN, etc.
• Led software selection and conversion projects including SaaS, on-premise, PaaS, etc.
• Expert in complex program management coordinating various application and infrastructure work streams, critical dependencies, risk mitigation, to successful deployments
