My direct client, a media company, has an immediate need for a Senior System Administrator .   Senior System Administrator  Reports to: Director of Operations  Responsibilities:  -The Senior System Administrator be responsible for leading our day to day operations of the production infrastructure, servers, storage, data bases, and backups. -Responsible for installations and deployments of new releases into the production and staging environments. -Align with the different groups within the company, Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support, Project Management, and Process/Change Management to meet new product demands and growth.  -Drive new technologies applicable to our environment. Work with Security on SOX compliance and related security issues.  Skills and Experience: 7+ years Operational Experience 7+ years of Linux(Unix) experience Excellent communication skills Excellent organizational skills Strong working knowledge of storage, storage subsystems, storage architecture Working knowledge of Oracle Strong knowledge of high scalability transactional environment Process and Policy driven Strategic and Forward thinker Experience with different tool sets for Monitoring, Change Management, Trouble Ticketing System Understanding of SOX Compliance in terms of Technology Duration: 6 month+ contract Location: New York, NY Salary: Open Start Date: ASAP
