My direct client, a media company, has an immediate need for a Senior System Administrator .
Senior System Administrator
Reports to:
Director of Operations
Responsibilities:
-The Senior System Administrator be responsible for leading our day to day operations of the production infrastructure, servers, storage, data bases, and backups.
-Responsible for installations and deployments of new releases into the production and staging environments.
-Align with the different groups within the company, Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support, Project Management, and Process/Change Management to meet new product demands and growth.
-Drive new technologies applicable to our environment. Work with Security on SOX compliance and related security issues. Skills and Experience: - 7+ years Operational Experience
- 7+ years of Linux(Unix) experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong working knowledge of storage, storage subsystems, storage architecture
- Working knowledge of Oracle
- Strong knowledge of high scalability transactional environment
- Process and Policy driven
- Strategic and Forward thinker
- Experience with different tool sets for Monitoring, Change Management, Trouble Ticketing System
- Understanding of SOX Compliance in terms of Technology
Duration: 6 month+ contract
Location: New York, NY
Salary: Open
