Position: Communications Manager

The role

Reporting to the Head of Group Communications with a dotted line to the
Director of Sales & Marketing, the Communications Manager develops and
delivers internal and external communications projects to build awareness in
established and new markets.

Key responsibilities

External Communications

* Work with external agency to maintain press program - including
media strategy and planning, story angle development, journalist meet and
greet, liaison with Executives and underwriters on the development and sign
off of stories, preparation of press materials (such as releases).

Internal Communications

* Implement and develop existing internal communications program in
the US to help instill the culture in the new US business and ensure staff
are up to date on product and branch news across the business. This includes
working with the USA Director of HR on a program and materials to keep the
recently launched USA vision alive.

* Work with US Executives on key messages and approach for business
critical staff communications.

* Develop internal communications materials - including stories for
monthly Group internal online newsletter, a quarterly newsletter from the US
management team, and material and messages for bi-monthly all staff VC's led
by the USA CEO.

Key requirements

* Experience working in a PR/communications role within a blue chip

Director of Finance

Reporting to and partnering with the managing partner, the Director of
Finance will play a critical role in developing and implementing the
strategy for the network office operations. The Director of Finance directs
the overall financial plans and accounting practices of the network office
operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Responsible for all forecasting and preparation of budgets for the
network office operations.

* Develop salary guidelines for office staff and supervisors.

* Develop a plan and make recommendations for specialist

* Lease negotiations, acquisitions, build-out and furnishing of

* Meet monthly with new managing directors to compare current
financials to projections.

Job Requirements

* The qualified candidate should have five years experience in
accounting, including financial statement preparation, general ledger
maintenance, auditing, annual tax fillings, payroll, benefits
administration, and insurance.

* Degree in Accounting preferred.

Our client needs an AS/400 development resource for a period of approximately six months, starting as soon as possible. It may be for more or less than six months depending on a variety of business conditions. The main responsibility of the successful candidate will be to produce working code (with a mixture of new development, enhancements and system support) based on requirements provided by the project manager and under the direction of technical resources in a very small team. THey need this person on-site for 40 hours per week.
Requirements are as follows:
RPG ILE and CL
All relevant development utilities (for example SQL, DDS, etc.)
Experience in change management utilities (we use ALDON)
Good English language skills (will have regular customer contact in person, per email and by phone)
Experience in producing technical documentation (using MS Word and Visio)
The ability to work independently and to figure out how things work when needed is critical; due to the small size of my team we will not be able to provide 100% direction on every task and it's important that the candidate is self-motivated to produce results and willing to do whatever analysis is needed to complete a task
