Position Responsibilities – Summary

The Lead Systems Analyst will work with investment personnel and fellow IS
team members located globally to analyze and implement small and medium
sized projects, delivering custom solutions to be used in the investment and
research process. Daily activities will include application support, hands
on development, project management, requirements gathering and
documentation, application design, code reviews, implementation,
testing/quality assurance, and end-user training.
This position requires technical proficiency and a high level of direct
interaction with end users and provides a broad set of opportunities
including application development, project management and client management.
Primary Responsibilities:

· Work closely with investment professionals located globally at all
levels of the organization to provide support using the follow-the-sun
approach for existing applications and proactively identify opportunities
for new/improved systems. Partner with users to iteratively deliver
applications that are critical to their investment process. On an ongoing
basis provide enhancements to previously deployed solutions.
· Collect, document and implement systems requirements.
· Set development standards, code solutions and perform code
reviews, where applicable and ensure development practices adhere to firm
guidelines
· Perform data gap analysis and facilitate remediation efforts
· Plan and manage small and medium-sized support projects and
perform development and deployment
· Work with users to prioritize needs and provide communication to
keep them apprised of progress.

Keys to this Position:
1. This position is 40% Development and 60% Systems Analysis.
2. Technical Requirement: Excel, VBA, C# and .NET are required. RPC
Eclipse and OSGI are a plus. Sharepoint, Java and Unix are also a plus.
3. Domain Knowledge Requirement: Must have an understanding of the
Investment Process, especially knowledge of Equities, (Derivatives and
Market Data (i.e. FactSet) are pluses). Some indications of domain knowledge
would be CFA, Financial Statement Analysis, and knowledge of alpha.
4. Strong Client Interfacing skills are required. This individual will be
working directly with Investors.
5. This is a Senior Level Individual Contributor role.
Required Skills & Competencies:
· Strong understanding of the investment process, research
workflows, equity and derivative securities, and market data services.
· Strong Microsoft Office Application expertise, in particular with
Excel and the creation/maintenance of Excel VBA macros.
· Strong SQL skills and prior experience with Oracle/SQL Server
tools.
· Hands-on .Net development skills required
· Strong, hands-on knowledge of Sharepoint required
· Prior experience with Java/Unix solutions a strong plus
· 3+ years experience directly supporting investment professionals

Position Responsibilities - Summary
This individual will be responsible for requirements, systems analysis,
testing, and project management supporting the Client Operations business
group within the Investment Administration (IA) Support Team in Information
Services (IS). The IA Support team provides support and enhancements to
approximately 300 internal business unit staff. These business units
include Investment Administration and Client Operations and they provide
operational services to our external clients and investors globally.

This position requires a high level of interaction with the business users
as well as excellent communication and delivery skills. The candidate
should have domain knowledge from another asset manager or financial
services firm supporting an operations business group.

This role will report to the Manager of IA Applications within IS, with the
intent of transitioning into the manager role and leading the team (30
resources, analysts and developers/consultants).

Key Responsibilities;

· Work with business partners to define, analyze and document
requirements, as well as identify opportunities for new/improved systems.

· Plan and perform functional testing of new systems and
enhancements.

· Coordinate/work closely with consultant teams (onshore/offshore)
to plan, estimate and deliver solutions while providing technical direction.

· Take ownership of issues in a 24x7 production environment and
collaborate with other teams on remediation and lead them through
completion.

· Proactively identify systems/process issues and gaps to minimize
incidents.

· Collaborate with business partners to prioritize
support/enhancement needs.

· Key to this role is business communication, expectations
management, efficient delivery and prompt support, follow-ups and status
reporting.

As this role grows into the manager role, additional responsibilities will
include, but not limited to:

- Oversee a dual shore (onshore & offshore in India) outsourcing arrangement
with our strategic consulting partner. Ensure service level agreements
(SLA's) are being adhered to, metrics are captured, process improvements and
efficiencies are being identified and implemented.

- Provide support for other Firm wide initiatives such as Disaster Recovery,
Database upgrades, security audits, infrastructure upgrades, etc.

- Manage and track IS budget and staffing plan for the team.

- Stay abreast of the "state of the art" as it relates to Operations, both
within the firm and throughout the industry.

- Establish and maintain effective client relationships.

Keys to This Position:

1. Strong Systems Analysis skills along with a strong technical
background. This role is somewhat more technical than most SA roles. This
candidate needs to primarily be an Analyst but will also understand
technical design and architecture.

2. Technical: PL/SQL required. Java is a plus

3. Domain: This candidate will have a strong understanding of the Back
Office including Client Operations, Fund Administration and Trade
Operations. The candidate does not necessarily need to have exposure to all
three, but the more the better.

4. Strong Client Relationship and Project Management skills

5. Leadership: This individual will manage 4 to 6 consultants.

6. Selling point: If this individual does well there is a great
opportunity to move into a more senior management role.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Minimum of ten years of experience in the investment industry,
with a minimum of three years managing an IS Team.

· Demonstrated client focus and relationship management skills.
