Career Tips: Why Include The "By"?

Whenever I listen to marketing messages, I hear people adding on the
`by' – "I provide result X by …"

This comes from a common fallacy that the purpose of your message is to
inform, rather than to engage. I wrote about this (and what to do to
avoid this trap) in my lead article in June's Career Tips. This
issue also includes:

* An invitation to my upcoming tele-class, "10 Traps That Snare
Job Seekers…And How To Avoid Them"

* How to connect with me on Twitter, and
* Advice to a job seeker who felt `blocked' from applying
on-line because of gaps in work history.
