Position Summary:

The person in the role will help to architect, design, and implement storage
and backup solutions in the mixed environment of Unix/Windows operating
systems. Responsibilities include: Participate on projects for a different
multitude of initiatives. Develop and document
standards/procedures/strategies that maximize the functionality and
reliability while minimizing downtime. Provide technical expertise for
applications installs, backup/recovery strategies, to address applications
performance issues and general platform problem analysis.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Architect and deploy storage solutions into new and existing
environments.
· Serve as a SME to diagnose and resolve problems in multiple
storage environments, coordinating with coworkers and vendors as necessary
to facilitate maximum availability of client applications in financial and
other mission critical environments.
· Work with clients and sales team to determine data storage
requirements in business development opportunities.
· Perform storage workload modeling and prediction for sizing and
troubleshooting
· Perform capacity planning and reporting to ensure efficient use of
storage.
· Closely monitor server storage performance and utilization,
identify problems and recommend/implement solutions
· Maintain replication relationships and recovery environments
· Implement and document recovery procedures
· Support recovery in the event of systems failure or disaster

Required Skills and Competencies:

· 8-10 years of Storage Experience
· Must have a thorough understanding of Network Appliance (NetApp)
products and architectures specifically 3xxx series and 6xxx series
· Experience with site to site and DR replication (ie SnapMirror and
SnanVault)
· In-depth knowledge of general storage technologies: iSCSI, FC,
SAN, NAS, DAS.
· Cisco MDS 9000 series switches knowledge.
· Prior experience or familiarity with alternative storage products
is highly desirable.
· Solid understanding of networking and distributed computing
concepts, including principles of network-routing client/server
applications.
· Solid understanding of NFS and CIFS administration in a NetApp
Environment.
· Knowledge of Distributed File Systems (DFS) beneficial.
· Comprehensive Experience in deploying and managing MS Active
Directory, MS Exchange, and MS SQL Server.
· Understanding and Implementing ILM Policy with Tiered Storage.
· Prior experience deploying NetApp solutions in the field.
· Experience deploying and maintaining FibreChannel and layer 2/3
Ethernet networks.
· At least five years of experience in a technical support role in
one or more computing environments.
· Experience with virtualization technologies is a must.
· Strong client focus and management of client expectations.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Excellent teamwork skills.
· Ability to present and explain technical information to diverse
audiences
· Ability to write clear proposals and technical documents.
· Ability to weigh various suggested technical solutions against the
original business needs and choose the most cost-effective solution.
· Experience in a complex, 24X7, Mission Critical Investment
Management environment a plus.

Position Summary:

The IT Networking & Security team is responsible for overseeing the security
of company data by supporting security systems and applications. The team
manages server and endpoint security, edge security, regulatory compliance
and operational security concerns.

Reporting to the Manager of IT Networking & Security, this position is part
of the IT Infrastructure group. The IT Security Engineer has shared
responsibility for the operational management of Check Point, Palo Alto,
Cisco, and TippingPoint security appliances. This individual has primary
responsibility for the Symantec EndPoint Protection and the RSA product
suite (enVision, DLP, and SecurID).

Primary Responsibilities:

· Management, troubleshooting, and monitoring of firewalls,
intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus systems, enterprise log
management system, and data leakage prevention system.

· Provides enterprise wide security related reporting at set
intervals to management.

· Monitors security audit and intrusion detection system logs for
system and network anomalies, investigates and/or escalates security
violations, and documents and reports events.

· Ensures environment is stable and in compliance with corporate
security policy and industry standards

· Creates/maintains documentation for supported systems, is involved
in DR/BCP planning

· Responds to security incidents 24 x 7

· Participates in scheduled off-hours configuration changes, service
outage upgrades, and DR/BCP testing

· Identifies and supports quality improvement initiatives

· Assists in performing product evaluations and recommends
products/services for data security

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Undergraduate degree in technology discipline or equivalent
experience

· 5+ years of information systems security experience

· 5+ years experience in the financial services industry

· Experience working with IP networking, networking protocols and
understanding of security related technologies including encryption, IPsec,
PKI, VPNs, firewalls, proxy services, DNS, electronic mail and access-lists

· Experience with Checkpoint, Cisco, and Palo Alto firewall
management and associated system managers

· Experience with TippingPoint IPS and associated system mangers, or
other IDS/IPS products

· Experience with Juniper SSL VPN and Firewalls, or other SSL VPN
products

· Experience analyzing Firewall and IPS logs, as well as Windows
Event and Security logs

· Experience working with enterprise log management software, RSA
enVision a plus

· Experience with data leakage prevention and eDiscovery
technologies

· Experience with Varonis DatAdvantage

· Familiarity with Active Directory

· Excellent, proven troubleshooting skills

· Experience working within the banking/finance/regulatory industry

· Experience working with relevant operating system security
(Windows, Linux, etc.)

· Strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
