Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Location – Newark NJ
Duration – 3 Months Right to hire with Possible Extension
Responsibilities will include:
- Driving business requirements definition and scope as it relates to the definition of deliverables with in the Business Intelligence environment
- Collaborating closely with clients to identify and understand business requirements including the exploration of viable options and alternatives for delivering reports, dashboards and ad-hoc capabilities
- Development of Business Requirements Document; Requirements Traceability Matrix, Use Cases and User Acceptance Test Plans in close collaboration with the business client and AIT peers
- Providing input into the Information Stewardship program to develop certified enterprise level business element names and definitions for information delivered through the Business Intelligence environment
- Preparing and entering metadata into the appropriate repository
- Consistent on-time delivery of quality deliverables in accordance with agreed upon plans
- Developing expertise to navigate and engage the V-Model SDLC methodology within a Plan/Deliver/QA/Operate model
- Endorsing a winning culture with a repeatable, process-based approach in which all members of the organization recognize the interdependence of the Plan/Deliver/QA/Operate model and their role in effectively delivering for the business customers
- Some east coast travel will be required
A qualified candidate should have the following:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3 years of IT experience within the Business Intelligence domain
- Experience working with Business Intelligence tools like Cognos
- Familiarity with ETL concepts and tools like Informatica
- Domain experience in Annuities or in a relevant industry
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent customer focus, with experience working with matrix relationships
- Strong Interpersonal (listening, written and verbal communication) and presentation skills
- Skill at resolving conflict and negotiating effectively and tactfully
- Ability to set clear expectations and demand high performance.
