Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Project Manager for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial industry clients in New York, NY.
 
 Required Skills:

Knowledge of SQL is a must
College graduate with project management certification a plus
At least 10 years of experience, preferably experience with Financial Services, specifically Treasury Services products from both a usage and functional perspective would be perfection.

Must be a data (Information) Subject Matter Expert with full knowledge of MS ACCESS and relational database architecture.
Must be a solid multi-tasker who can work (and thrive) in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to communicate and partner with the product teams and off site Data Warehouse technicians in a highly matrix organization.
 
Preferred Skills:

Familiar with the Business Objects analytical tool would be very positive
Strong familiarity with MS SharePoint would be a benefit

We are currently seeking a Data Architect to join our Corporate IT team in Hoboken, NJ.  The Data Architect will apply principles, theories, and concepts to analyzing and modeling data in order to promote enterprise-wide sharing and management of those data assets. The Data Architect will implement enterprise data governance and stewardship processes as well as support data governance bodies including the formation, facilitation and scheduling of meetings and agendas for working groups. This person will work with data modeling and repository toolsets (including ER/Studio and other metadata management toolsets) in support of the development of data models and related work products.  Experience with data flow and information flow modeling and concepts are required. We are looking for someone that will be able to work with business and technical subject matter experts to develop graphical representations of data and work flows from a business and system
level perspective; and able to develop complete, thorough associated documentation of work flows, process steps and/or summaries as necessary.
 
Responsibilities & Duties
 

Sets Data Policy and the technical solutions for the management, movement, and transformation of data.
Specifies recommended Data Architecture tools and technologies.
Creates and maintains the Metadata Repository.
Creates a semantically rich business model of the enterprise problem domain that:

Is independent of any technology solution.
Defines the Content of the business.
Compiles and maintains the Enterprise Schema across all applications.
Enforces principles of good canonical data design.
Examines and enforces opportunities to provide data reuse, balancing the issues of centralization and replication.
Ensures the preservation of strategic data assets as applications and technologies come and go.

Develop and maintain data models, data architecture, data management standards and conventions, data element naming standards and metadata standards.
Produces information models that represent the business problem to be solved with regard to data content, data relationships and structure.
Provide guidance and consultation to individuals and groups to ensure on-going projects are in alignment with the corporate data architecture.
Designing stable and high performance application solutions with complex requirements and demanding specifications. 
Ability to understand business requirements and map them to the enterprise data and process models.
Conducts research and development and provides recommendations for selection of data architecture tools.
Provides input and consulting support on large-scale projects and road maps for compatibility with the enterprise vision.

Education, Experience & Skills

BachelorĂ¢€™s degree.
5+ years of Oracle experience.
3+ years of Enterprise Data Architecture experience.
Knowledge of SOA is preferred.
Experience with Oracle 10 Ă¢€" 11g.
Experience with ER/Studio.
Experience designing, implementing and supporting a large Oracle database environment.
Extensive experience with Oracle and/or MS SQL Server and Oracle Warehouse Builder.
Strong team work and collaboration skills.
Excellent Data Modeling, Data Analysis skills.
Extensive skills in design, development and maintenance of data models and its components, Database Design and development.
Planning and management, Requirements Elicitation skills.
Data integration, Data warehouse/Reporting development and management.
Knowledge and skills in Dimensional modeling highly desirable
Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
