Job Description:
 

Seeking business minded individuals with solid financial, analytical and business problem solving skills. A proven record of leadership and strong communications is also required.

 

A candidate with strong finance, strategic planning and consulting (client facing) background will create, implement and manage finance and vendor spend management programs for multiple US Pharmaceutical Operations business areas. Candidate will also utilize strong project management skills to manage multiple projects and a large number of cross-organization stakeholders.

 

Candidate will be responsible for measurement, planning and forecasting of all cost drivers and avoidance measures / activities. She/he will be responsible for developing new capabilities to improve processes and efficiency of organizational spend, and to develop appropriate programs and initiatives to achieve business cost saving area targets. She/he will generate and analyze spend and financial data and develop /manage associated programs and projects to capture identified savings. She/he will be expected to assemble spreadsheets and graph (financial and technical reports). Candidate will develop monthly/quarterly financial reports for executive business areas leaders. Candidate should be very comfortable manipulating large data sets and spreadsheets. Candidate will be responsible for creating sophisticated spreadsheets as well as executive level power point presentations.

 

The position requires this candidate to apply critical thinking and strategic insight to everyday business problems, while displaying strong project management experience & data analysis skills in a rapidly changing environment.

 

 Responsibilities include:

 

·        Candidate will be responsible for completed activity based costing for each of the business area within US Commercial Operations as well as developing cost driver trees

·        This position will be responsible for assisting the US Commercial Operations organization with development and management of spend management projects

·        Compile financial data on key spend categories and projects completed by the US Vendor Operations team and develop succinct executive level business unit summary reports (in excel and power point) for business unit stakeholders

·        Partner with colleagues in World-wide Procurement, Finance and Legal to execute on shared initiatives

·        Assist in developing, implementing spend management and cost avoidance initiatives

Required Qualifications and Experience:

·        A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field. Master’s Degreed preferred (i.e., MBA)

·        At least 7-10 years of experience in Financial Analysis and Expense Management

·        At least 5 years Project Management and Program Management Experience required

·        Prior experience in Corporate Strategy roles recommended

·        At least 3-5 years experience in a Consulting Environment

·        Project Management Certification (PMP) or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred but not required

·        Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Access

·        Key competencies: Utilizes strong inductive reasoning, analyzing data and providing consultation and advice to Others

·        Experience and demonstrated capability of serving as effective Vendor Operations and Financial business partner in customer oriented environment

·        Excellent project management and organizational skills

·        Ability to adapt easily to change.

·        Strong technical writing skills and excellent business writing skills

·        Ability to think strategically and write about the business, i.e., strategy, connecting the dots across various businesses areas

·        Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment

·        Ability to synthesize a vast amount of information (data or financial) into succinct, compelling messages

·        Self-motivated team player who has the ability and willingness to work in a small-team setting, assist wherever necessary and be generally proactive on whatever needs to be done

·        Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and a keen attention to detail and accuracy

·        Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure within tight deadlines

·        Ability to multi-task, exhibit flexibility and remain responsive as demands change

·        Demonstrated success and growth in previous positions

·        Strong verbal communication skills also required.

·        Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry not required, but preferred
