SMCNG has helped me to get back in touch with myself and my network of
friends. Discussions helped me to better understand what I want in terms of
employment and that I really am not interested in returning to my prior
career. I need to be doing something more socially useful than working with
credit derivatives. I especially appreciate the focus on the spiritual and
emotional aspects of the job search process. The environment is very
welcoming and supportive and speakers and participants are helpful and
knowledgeable. In December, a story about a woman who sent out gifts of
photographs inspired me to send out letters to my network including my
family's chicken soup recipe. I had an overwhelming response. I am
currently in New Mexico for the summer working on restoring an adobe church
and the 200 year old associated parsonage, but I will be back in the fall
and working on starting my own business.
