Our membership has been encouraged to attend the upcoming STARTUP WEEKEND NYC event on June 11 - June 13, 2010. There are more details about the event on the site itself (see link below) but in general here's the idea behind the event:
Tickets to attend the event are $75.00 per person but to encourage our group's attendance NYC ALT.NET members have been given a $10.00 discount code which will reduce the cost of our members' attendance to only $65.00 per person.

- Teams form around the best ideas and then work over the weekend to develop and launch a prototype on Sunday
- A panel of established entrepreneurs and angel investors to preview teams' final presentations on Sunday.
