Position Responsibilities - Summary

The IT Client & Corporate Systems Team is responsible for the development
and support of Corporate Business applications. This team consists of
approximately 35 technology professionals whose key functions include
application development, system integration, application support, and
production support. The supported business areas are Client Services,
Performance Analytics, Business Development, Renewable Resources, Finance,
and Human Resources.

Reporting to the Client and Marketing Services Development Manager, the
Business Analyst will work within our Client & Corporate Systems Development
Group on a variety of projects. This person will collaborate with the
business community to create business requirements documents, and also with
the software development group to convey, clarify, and/or improve the stated
requirements and solutions. Analysis will comprise enhancements to existing
systems as well as the creation of new systems. This individual will
translate business needs into functional specifications to ensure that the
business partners' functional requirements are fulfilled and that all
systems conform to the specifications. In addition, the Business Analyst
will work with business users and/or Quality Assurance to ensure that test
plans for each of the enhancements are executed and that the final
deliverables are accepted in a timely fashion. This individual will also
keep the project managers appraised of the status of assigned tasks. In
this role, the Business Analyst will interact with many areas of the
organization, and will be required to work closely with all members of the
project team.
Position Responsibilities – Detailed

· Work with business users to develop and document business rules
and requirements for performing investment performance analysis
· Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis,
requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions,
use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
· Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources,
reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract
up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish
user requests from the underlying true business needs.
· Utilize methodologies to analyze information needs, business
objectives, and requirements to document all project artifacts (such as
Functional requirements, Business Rules, Use Cases, and Interface designs)
· Be the liaison between the business units and the technology teams
to serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and
external customers) and the software development team through which
requirements flow for a segment of project requirements
· Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to
establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs that may be required to
meet business needs for a segment of project requirements
· Identify and propose solutions to enhance workflows

· Be able to prove out workflows using SQL or Excel

Required Skills and Competencies:

Mandatory Requirements:
· Strong Business System Analysis background out of an Investment
Management firm with strong General Back Office and Investment Data Flow
experience.
· This person will be working on a CRM Implementation Project so
previous CRM experience a big plus – They use Pivotal.
· Good understanding of SQL, Microsoft Word, Visio (or equivalent),
and Microsoft Excel
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability
to interact professionally with a diverse group consisting of executives,
managers, developers, and subject matter experts.
· Ability to work independently with users to define concepts and to
complete project tasks under direction of project managers
· The ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

· Proven ability to work directly with the business community,
handle demanding user groups, and communicate with internal clients at all
enterprise levels
· Writing skills, capability to communicate information effectively

Position Responsibilities - Summary

The Performance Systems Analyst will be a member of the Information
Technology team but work closely with several teams throughout the
organization including Performance and Attribution group, Marketing, Client
Service, Portfolio Construction; main responsibilities include support and
management of the performance and attribution systems. The ideal candidate
will have a strong background in project management, international
investment, and portfolio performance combined with excellent analytical,
communication, and technology skills.

Detailed Responsibilities:

Ensure prompt, accurate calculation and reporting for all composites, as
well as other performance related data for a variety of purposes. Specific
responsibilities include:

· Maintain composites in multiple systems (performance and
attribution related)
· Run and analyze attributions in multiple platforms (Factset,
StatPro, BARRA, Proprietary Factor Attribution System)
· Participate in the planning, testing, and deployment of releases
and upgrades of Operations and Performance applications.
· Lead components of major initiatives
· Gather user and system requirements, develop specifications for
Operations and Performance systems (such as the integration of the portfolio
system with other applications) Conduct business and systems requirements
analysis, data mapping, and data conversion analysis
· Analyze workflows, processes and procedures
· Develop and test new group processes and technology solutions
· Work with Performance and Attribution group to further improve
processes and streamline workflow

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or other
financial/information systems related degree
· Must Have at least 3 years of experience in performance
measurement and/or information technology areas within an Investment
Management Firm.
· Strong knowledge of SQL
· Ability to write/amend Microsoft Excel macros
· Must have some prior knowledge of one of the following type of
performance systems; BARRA, StatPro, FactSet, GIPS, DSTi, Bloomberg, or
Reuters.
· CFA or CIPM, or demonstrated progress towards one, is a plus
· Be well organized, flexible, and able to work independently as
well as in a team environment
· Extremely strong analytical skills, attention to detail and
quality
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to lead project meetings with users.
· Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced,
ever-changing environment
· Demonstrate high commitment to meeting deadlines and exceeding
expectations
